Stayed in a king suite, which is very spacious. Room had a slight outdoor, but nothing too bad. Bed and pillow ok, not great, but not bad either. Air con worked a treat. My dirty linen was taken first day but not replaced. Some issue with wifi on the first night which help desk couldn't resolve. Stay was OK especially for the price.

Me and my wife went on our honeymoon (provided that information in our booking info) and the service was wonderful. They provided a bottle of champagne in the room and were receptive the whole time. We received a high room, but didn't have a view of any sights. The location was perfect. Right across the street from Southern Cross, and close to a ton of restaurants, bars, and shops.response / report this review -

This location is prime!!!! Right by the station. We had a slight glitch in getting the room we had ordered so they bumped us up into a great room. This location is walking distance to the free trams, there is a metro ( supermarket ) across the street and lotsa food spots close by. Hotel is super clean, rooms r very decent sized for the location. I would stay here again!

We attended the Vibe Hotel's V-spa for a couples pamper package for our 20th anniversary. The experience was amazing. From the second we walked in the front door we felt welcomed. The staff created a sense of calm as they introduced us to the treatment room where we had a 30 minute foot spa. Then we were taken into a private room for a one hour body massage, then a 30 minute facial followed by a private 30 minute hydro stream. We left feeling very relaxed and rate the experience "ten out of ten, will do again".

A very pleasant and comfortable lobby with a decent and spacious bar. The bar was supposed to be closed past 10 pm last night (Saturday) but they reopened it due to the number of people still asking for drinks. Concierge was very helpful.

Summary
This is quite a nice but basic hotel in a very good location at a great price.
I liked the style of the hotel but some room features like the bedheads, need a little refreshing.
Staff were friendly. Check in check out easy and simple.
Don't expect slippers robes or any other extras provided by a lot of hotels.
Biggest issue we had was noise from the other room.
People talking could be heard as if they were in your own room and this might be a deal breaker for many. Luckily for us we were only in our room once at the same time as our neighbours, but due to this, id be unlikely to stay again to be honest.

Room was clean and tidy. Bed was comfortable and large. Shower was powerfully. There was no street noise. The breakfast was good and great service at the bar. Good overall experience.response / report this review -

Perfect location for city break or stopover in Melbourne as close to the main train station (Southern Cross) where you can take trains out to wherever or book a hire car to do the rest of Victoria. Great sleep there, great location for Melbourne itself. However we did not get early check in and the breakfast was truly disappointing and overpriced!

Room is a little smaller then I'd prefer but nicley refurbished. Bar and foyer nicely refurbished also. Late night room service menu could be improved, I'm often a late arrival so the poor options are a negative for me.

Friendly staff who were eager and willing to help me store my frozen and refrigerated goods past check out times while I explored Melbourne for the day. Room was great with everything I needed being easily accessible.

A great location hotel - in the heart of Melbourne, directly across from Southern Cross Station. A short walk from the yarra, and other downtown attractions. Comfortable, inexpensive and great, friendly service!

Decent prices, good location, decent room size and friendly staff but a severe shortage of people on hand at one of the busiest times of the year. Service is generally friendly but extremely slow if you call from the room for anything, and the complimentary items are limited to the basic toiletries of which only one lot were provided despite three guests staying.
Dated decor and furnishings, and the bar and restaurant were similarly skeleton crew maintained like reception, as was the housekeeping team which likely comprised of one person.
Overall, would consider revisiting but only at discounted rates as you can enjoy better for a similar price range less than a minute away.
Certainly feel a three star rating is more appropriate than the claimed 4.5.response / report this review
