Dirty bed sheets, dirty and smelly bathrooms, booked for a room with bathroom but actually the bathroom was not inside the room, windows locked. Strange receptionist at check in. Not acceptable the lack of cleanliness.

Crowded Hostel, ease of Access to Bondi, shady staff, all sorts of people, not too cheap. You can get air bnb at comparable rates.
Also they don't put a group in same rooms, have dinghy washrooms and bunk beds. Two bunk beds in one small room

New, clean. the rooms aren’t big, but come on, it’s a Hostel and if glyph are 2 you have your own with your bathroom for a really cheap price. They have access card so it’s really safe.

Brand new and very clean/comfortable, air conditioning and en suites in evey room. Reasonably priced. Location is good, but lacking in the social aspect of things, no activities and no real common area apart from a tiny tv room. I would recommend Bondi Backpackers if you need a room in Bondi Beach, its worth the extra cash.

Okay hostel very over price atm a 4 dorm room is $40 a night I've been told it can go upto 65 a night they have 50 rooms from double beds that are a lot more expensive to a 8 man room. We have worked out they are making over $70,000 a week. Talk about taking advantage of backpackers. When one bedroom apartment can be found round bondi for around $600. I surgest if your a couple or a group of friends in sydney for a few months or more you rent a short term house or apartment because prices will only go up. Plus you see a cockroch every now and then. Cleaners really do a below poor job. We where in the village kings cross the cleaner was amazing.

Rooms are really, really small. You can't even open a suitcase. My room and bed were really dirty so I communicate my situation to the staff. They told me not to worry, that they would clean everything in a few hours. In the afternoon everything was exactly as it was. The kitchen doesn't have an oven or microwave, and you can't really cook because with a little bit of smoke the alarm would start sounding. Three small fridges for the whole building Don't count with the wifi service is useless. You can't even google. Even though the staff wasn't rude, they were not friendly at all.

The rooms are small and cramped. There are to many beds in the rooms. It's as if you're sleeping on an airplane with a small aisle to walk past the other passengers. The kitchen is way to small and cramped with 3 gas stoves each having 4 ranges on it, but is hard to work with when there are 80+ people also trying to prepare a meal. The layout of the building is odd and I breifly got lost my 3rd day there.

Perfect location for the beach really helpful and friendly staff rooms could be abit cleaner but also depends who your sharing with. The staff are more than willing to sort anything for you would recommend for a cheap nights stay

Rooms weren't entirely clean, laundry was completely out of order, as were the vending machines. No air conditioning either. However, location is good, rates are cheap and the staff were friendly.

Some staff are good but others just plain rude aggressive and should not be in hospitality I stated there with my wife whilst on business in sydney because it was cheap ,,,big mistake ,should have spent more money as this place ruined our whole stay , stole money of us and blatantly lied to get away with it.
The security person is a Maori and he his rude aggressive racist and yet they have so many complaints about him they keep him only confirming the owners couldn't care aless about the people that stay there . The floor was filthy in our room the sink smelt of urine Ltd must be used as a urinal as the toilets are always busy toilets smelt of urine to vending machines rip you off blankets supplied smelly like stale smell ,kitchen inadequate and not cleaned thoroughly etc,etc,etc.
I will be taking my concerns to the appropriate places and advising the hostels neighbours about the facts at The Village Bondi .

It's the cheapest in Bondi Beach. It could be cleaned better and the bathroom near Room 11 floor stays wet all the time. Needs Dri-Deck installed or sloping floors. The outside sitting area closes at 7:30 P.M., no alcohol, security present. Beds are good and it's quite. Would stay again.

The pros of being at this hostel are the price and the location, literally 100mts from the beach and bus stop, I also do understand that being a hostel, it's a budget location and you need to adapt (I've been to India before coming here I know what budget means :) ) , but there is a few cons that you need to consider if you decide to stay here :
- Our double room was very small and wasn't clean, also, the window was just in front of the trashcans. I asked for a broom to fix the first problem, the other one well I can live with, but it would have been nice to put the trash somewhere else in the back, right?
- Bathrooms need to be renovated and on general are pretty dirty. Cleaning staff could be doing better
- The kitchen is really small with just one sink to wash all the stuff (imagine what it is when the hostel is full) and 4 small cooking spots, one of them wasn't working at the time I was staying there
- The area where you can eat has only 4 or 5 tables and a few chairs again, imagine trying to find a spot where to eat when the hostel is full
- As a general thing, you won't be able to sleep in the morning as other guests wake up. If you have a corridor room, you'll hear every step or conversation of people passing by your door as the floor, walls and doors are damn thin and loud.
Especially when someone is coming up or down the stairs, the floor is gonna vibrate right into your bunk I hope they never get an earthquake here!

That said, if you have a minimum of spirit of adaptation, like me you will deal with it and enjoy your stay in Bondi.
As I said, location is really excellent and if it wasn't for the poor state of the building it would have deserved and higher score as the reception staff is very nice and helpful
