I would like to share my experience with Car Servicing & You Carnegie. I have initially presented my vehicle (2006 Citroen C5) to the shop on Friday the 19th of June 2020 with complaint regarding the front brake making a high pitch mechanical noise when braking. Clearly it was agreed that the pad had worn out and potentially the rotors would require replacement. Agreed and booked for 8am Tuesday 23rd of June.
Upon the second inspection it was agreed that the pads + rotors + fluid flush adding to a total of $730 and car would be ready mid-afternoon. Around 2:30pm I got a call from the technician stating with a “sorry” advising that the RH side calliper seal broke during repair and would require a minimal charge to be fixed. Never got the amount required to be charged – left without the car for the rest of the day. Following day I got a bill of an additional $165. When asked, the response I got was “vehicle was old – these types of things are expected” and “brake pads seemed to be worn down too much” and “vehicle engineering wasn’t the best” and “happened the first time in 40 yeas”.
I had the front brakes replaced before and never did I come across such situation. Also LH side seemed to be ok which made me wonder what happened. All these comments made me feel bad of my car and sent me home worrying more than I did when I came to the shop as the invoice ends with “customer advised to monitor the front right caliper against leaks as full caliper overhaul may be required”. Furthermore I had grease on the door handles, just cherry on top of everything reflecting level of detail carried out. Overall not a pleasent experience. Comments seem to be so nice but, proceed with caution is all I can advise.response / report this review -

I have had my car window repaired here on multiple occurrences (different windows) and Brett is always willing to check things and repair where necessary. Would highly recommend taking your car here for any general servicing or mechanical issues.

I have just had my brakes fixed and experienced nothing but the most professional service from Brett and his team. I highly recommend Car Servicing & You because they did a great job and Brett was an absolute pleasure to deal with, keeping me fully informed every step of the way. 10 out of 10.

Hi Jeremy,
Unfortunately, I had to write this not very positive review after several months as I have just sold the car you serviced and discovered that part of your job hasn't been done well. This goes on top of your attitude, and your colleague as well, which I have always found poorly focused on customer service and much more on MONEY.
There are a few positive things with you, one of them is that you are a meticulous mechanic and that is usually very good.
Also, you provide detailed descriptions of what was necessary.
On the other side, your flexibility was really low, I did ask you to send me a mail quoting what you were going to do as by phone you mentioned many problems and when I phone you back you said that you had already started. but this is not a big issue
There was a fixed price for the 4WD service on your page, you charged a few dollar more saying that the price on the page was old. Well is not for the 15 dollars more, but on a total price of 2000 dollars, you might have accepted that the error was yours and not mine. still, this is not a big issue.
You are in average a bit expensive. This may be my opinion but it is also a matter of fact. let's say that this is not a big issue either.
What is definitely an issue is that you charged me 120 (KJ trans service kit) + 85 (service) + 75 (fluid) + GST for the transmission and I found out after a few weeks that it has to be serviced again because it was leaking.
I know that yours will be a long answer point by point, I accept it. Keep in mind that purpose is to give you a feedback. I was going to build a long relationship and you made my run away for price attitude and attention.

I called up for an urgent road worthiness and the boys not only fit me in but sorted all the issues on short notice on a Saturday! That's service, and they did it with high spirits and good communication with me the customer. I've just moved the Melbourne and it's great to have found my mechanic so early!

the staff are very polite and patient. The services provided are very detail. I highly recommend the worker called Reano. Also, Steve and Sam are good at these works. Very nice guys. I really appreciate their works done with my car.
