4th visit and the food has always been good. The wait staff have sometimes been poor but the manager has always been helpful

Came here with family, found it cramped. Had to chase our meal order up after it seemed they had forgotten us. Food was fine but I did not feel satisfied with the dishes we ordered.

We're talking China Town here so criteria are yummy dumplings and BYO, not a lot to ask. Number one piece of advice, always go for your Chinatown-esque cheap, maybe a little grotty, bit of a wait in line, but reliable. I'm talking your Shanghai Villages and Empress of China's. Ant's tries to be a little too fancy which totally throws you off where's the dumpling menu? BYO, but oh, it's $4. Minimum spend per person $20, hm thanks for telling us. Look, the food is fine but doesn't satisfy my China Town criteria.

Been here for many years without much issues. So, it was natural for me to try and share this with others. I was embarrassed at the end of it and deeply regretted it. When I brought my partner and his little cousin to the restaurant, I was telling them how delicious and generous the serving sizes were. There was a lady escorting us inside and told us to pretend it is our first time there. Dodgy, but we'll help you out. We got seated, all was good. I was embarrassed though when the food came out. The portions were a LOT smaller, and the price is probably similar to flower drum. I can't wrap my head around it. He ordered dumplings and we learned big time - never order that here. The dumpling place around the corner is 50x better (and edible). Honey chicken was good and probably have about 8 pieces for $22? I can't remember. Lemon chicken was average. Fried rice was plain and oily. Sadly, my partner was still hungry after ordering and did not want to try any more of their menu after what we got. We had to eat elsewhere after this. I suspect they treated us differently thinking we're new and that they're Australian, not Asian. Very disappointed. Just ashamed with the food and the different treatment of customers based on race or first timers.

Been going there for well over ten years and it's always been a winner for cost effective very tasty food, with some spicy choices if prefer some heat in your cuisine. We love it!

Wow, this is the best Chinese food in Chinatown/Australia!. We cannot recommend it highly enough. The owners. Maria and Stephen make you feel very much at home and there hospitality is a direct reflection of the tasty, fresh dishes the serve. Fully recommend this restaurant, you will not be disappointed.

What a great findif it wasn't for the delightful girl ushering
passerby's into the restaurant we may not have dined at
Ants Bistro. The food was very good as was the professional

Extremely rude service. We had a reservation for 8.30, we got there at 8.26 and were told there were no tables and we had to wait for 10 minutes, no apologies and after telling us to wait the hostess left mid way through my sentence. While we waited a group of 5 came in and were seated immediately as they had a reservation. And when I attempted to complain was completely ignored.finally got seated after 20 minutes of waiting and another 45 minutes later we received the most mediocre meal! Please do not waste your time and money on this place!

Great variety of food! The staff can speak Chinese so it's a plus for Chinese customers.
Ate their dimsum and fried rice and taste great.
