We visited over the weekend for my girlfriend's birthday. The whole experience was faultless. The food, the service, the view, the wine and the coffee. All brilliant. I couldn't recommend visiting the place highly enough. Particularly loved the smoked eel dish with beetroot - reminded me of flavours from my childhood in a Russian family. Thanks Lake House!

Absolutely stunning location by the lake. If you're a nature lover this resort is for you. Ducks and geese running around outside your room, fishing available. Tennis court. Spa and mineral baths. Rooms very luxurious leading out onto the lake. 2 hat restaurant is delicious

We are visiting from the UK. Everything was lovely- staff, venue,etc.
However we were very disappointed with the portions served to our vegetarian guests. The meat eaters- in this instance sharing the lamb- could hardly get through our meal. The two vegetarians ended up eating our polenta and excess veg. We couldn't say anything because it was a birthday celebration and we couldn't spoil the occasion. However, I suggest that the vegetarian option is a big con and excessively overpriced. We paid over £300 for lunch for 4 people and our guests left hungry. Don't visit if you are vegetarian.

5 for location, great views. 4 for service. 3 for food, for the price you pay, lacking wow factor. Overall, bucket list restaurant but don't think I will be coming back. Please note this is only one offering, as they have accommodation and spa + massage therapy.

Lake House in Daylesford is one of the best venues we’re had the pleasure of working with in the Greater Melbourne region for Weddings. Each time we’ve performed at Lake House, you can see the care and attention to detail focused onto the client and their guests. The venue decore is beautiful, the staff are so professional and friendly, and the food is to die for! When we have a gig booked at our entertainment team know that it’s going to be a 10/10! The restaurant location and the service was amazing. The kookaburras were a fun attractions. I went there for a anniversary and I'm sure they gave us the best spot in the house (which I am very thankful for) .
The food was well presented but that was about all. I found the flavours were so subtle that there was no point to them being on the plate. The local cheese platter well, I didn't even want to eat it. It just wasn't nice and only ate it because I paid so much for the food.
I could go on but not really worth me pointing everything out.

Service at the Lake House has been impeccable. We ate here both nights of our stay on the gourmet experience package and can't speak highly enough of the tasting menu with matching wines! Will definitely be back!

My husband & I ran away from the kids tonight for a 'date' night and what a night to be held!! The Lake House was everything and more. We settled upon the degustation menu and the wines to match. No, it wasn't cheap but yes it was worth it. The staff attention to detail was warmly received. I believe the staff made for our night so lovely. The cosmopolitan mix of waiting staff from all over the world was a highlight. This was a our first time at the Lake House and we thoroughly enjoyed our night out away from our kids. Thank you
