Very convenient location next to the rail station, 20 minutes from airport and bus connections 1 minute away. Only 10 minutes stroll into city centre.
Reception were able to offer early check in, room very clean and well presented - heating/air con excellent. Breakfast buffet very good too. Staff were very attentive and friendly - in summary an excellent stay and I will certainly stay here again when I return to Salzberg.
Salzburg was one of the few places we visited during our recent trip to Austria coming off the train and checking into the hotel which was just next door to the train station was a bonus (my main reason for choosing this hotel in the 1st place). The staff were very friendly and helpful directing us and pleasantly answering our questions when we were trying to find our way for sight seeing. The map and brochures provided were very useful. The room was impeccably clean and comfortable. Unfortunately our stay was extremely short and we had to make a move to our next destination fairly early the following day.But we still manage to visit the Mirabelle Garden after breakfast and still manage to catch our train on time thanks to the very convenient location. My only regret is that the stay was too short. Will definitely come again and I would be sure to book a longer stay at the H+ Hotel.
A modern contemporary business/tourist hotel. Clean and comfortable. All good except we had a pretty surreal and quite scary experience with our initially assigned room.
Can't remember that room number but it was on the high floor.
We (+missus + kid) got out of lift and saw the back of a little boy carrying a small backpack in the lift lobby. A little strange to see an unattended kid in the lobby but oh well, he might just be a precocious independent child. He turned right and ran straight down towards the end of the passageway and did a quick left turn at the end. We thought nothing of it thinking there was an extension annexe at the end but realized it was a dead end when we reached. The left turn was in fact our assigned room. Almost in disbelief, we convinced ourselves that the boy had in fact vanished pretty quickly into an open room door before that last room and all of us were suffering from fatigue or parallax error.
Got into the room, checked bathrooms for functioning taps, showers etc and then my kid pointed out that the left corner window was ajar and indeed at that point, there was a slight draft and curtains were indeed moving.
And then we heard somebody whistle! At that point, missus and I looked at each other and an unspoken understanding (goosebumps!). We quickly exited the room, missus went down with kid to the concierge with hope of a room change.
I stayed at the corridor as we had 3 luggages with us, and also in case there wasn't any alternative room. Interestingly, while I was at the corridor, I heard the phone inside the room start to ring.
Certainly wish we were the only ones encountering else hope the hotel has done something about this. The positive thing is we managed to change our room.
Great experience. You will see it the minute you step out of the train station. Room is clean and comfortable and very quiet during the night. The receptionist (sorry I didn’t know her name) is really helpful, she helped me figure out the train schedule to Hallstatt and told me it was cheaper to buy in the machine. Hotel is also within walking distance to Mirabel
Great location, right next to train station and also easy to catch local bus into town. Well designed room but a touch on the small side but perfectly adequate for our 2 day stay. Good breakfast in a nice room on top floor of hotel with a good view of the mountains and parts of the city. Very friendly and helpful staff. While right in the action our room was very quiet. We had a really pleasant stay!
Stayed at this hotel, in a business room, for 4 nights as a last-minute booking. Although it is outside the old town (about 10-15 minutes on foot) and there are hotels with better views and more charming environments in Salzburg, it simply cannot be beaten in terms of convenience, as it is situated right next to the train station and 20 meters from the station's bus stop, a major public transport hub for the city. There is also a mall next to it and a supermarket open until 11 PM every day in the train station.
The staff was very nice and polite, and efficient at check-in and check-out. The room was spacious and light and perfectly clean. There were most conveniences that you would expect in a modern city hotel room with the exception of the minibar, but it was actually a plus of this hotel: they have instead vending machines on the floor which sell items you would expect in a minibar, except at a much more reasonable price (and it's easier to buy more than one of your favorite!)
My only two issues were the desk which was quite small and very cluttered with the coffee machine, hotel brochures, glasses etc. leaving virtually no space to use it to work, and the AC, which was quite noisy which I didn't manage to turn off for good - but it did stop once I opened a window, and the temperature outside made it a very viable option. In fairness I'll note that I did not ask the staff about it so it may have been an issue that they could have solved
I did not eat breakfast at the hotel so I cannot comment on this
All in all I would say this is an extremely convenient, well-appointed hotel with very good staff, and I certainly intend to return on my next trip to Salzburg
The hotel was located in a very convenient location with walking distance to restaurants, shops, and tourist attractions. The room was very clean and comfortable. What we love the most was their breakfast and the view.
Nice modern hotel with spacious room with best location. Walking distance to bus tram and train stations. Good breakfast. Nice outside view from room and restaurant.
Excellent hotel location with the most friendly staff I've met in Europe. They were helpful and sincere. Best for travellers arriving from trains as it just minutes away from the main train station. I was celebrating my birthday there earlier this month and it was indeed a great & unforgettable experience. Well done RAMADA Salzburg City Centre on service quality.
Comfortable, well run hotel with excellent buffet breakfast and a good view from the breakfast room. However, the description that it is close to the centre of town is misleading- it is a good 25-30 minute walk to the Dom, and the area close to the station, through which you have to walk, is rather run down and unappealing. It would also be helpful to give some directions to the car park for guests driving to Salzburg. We ended up getting a parking ticket whilst finding out from reception how to drive to the car park entrance.
The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful and the room was clean, the bathroom worked well and was a decent size, the bed was very comfortable.
Ramada Salzburg is next to the train station (Salzburg HBF) and conveniently located next to shopping mall. I enjoyed my stay here. I would give it 5-star rating if I do have coffee/tea/milk in the room. But nevertheless I am happy I stayed here.
The Ramada Hotel is such a pleasant surprise for me. I was so glad when I found out that it was right outside the train station - I didn't even have to cross a street! When I arrived, the receptionist let me check-in quickly even if I arrived earlier than their 3 pm check-in time. When I got to my room, it was pretty, clean, and well-equipped. I was also surprised that I had a view of the Alps and the Hohensalzburg Fortress from my window. Every single one of the hotel staff is kind and helpful even before I arrived (they sent me driving directions to the hotel and I had a few questions over email).
I will definitely recommend the Ramada to friends who will be coming to Salzburg.
Only a few meters from central station was very convenient when you are carrying skis. The hotel was a marvelous surprise. Beautiful rooms that were modern and super clean. Very comfortable bed the room was a lovely design. Breakfast was amazing and so was the service. Will definitely stay there next year again.
Clean, spacious and convenient.
Next to Salzburg train station with shopping mall next to it.
However, going to the main city is quite a walk. But we enjoyed the walk to the city and the castle.
The room is nicely decorated and equipped. It's very clean. We enjoyed our stay.
My wife and I had stayed in a smaller hotel while we were working in Salzburg. For our last night we moved to the Ramada.
A very nice experience. The front desk staff were very helpful. The room was a nice size, beds firm. Price very good.
