  Location, location, location. Charming hotel wrapped in history. The most delicious breakfast was provided with so many choices making it the best way to start your day. The entire Staff was so very helpful and knowledgeable and always took time to answer questions. I would return to this hotel in a heartbeat.

  The city is inundated with tourists so I understand it must be difficult for hoteliers but I cannot recommend this hotel. The room I stayed in was too small and lacked any air-conditioning beyond a fan. It does not offer a welcoming atmosphere. In fact, the manner of one particular gentleman behind the desk was positive curt, almost hostile - a very odd choice for a receptionist. But the hotel is clean and very central. The adjacent restaurant is excellent.

  Wonderful old world hotel! Authentic historical Austrian hotel with stylistic antique art and finishes. Location is steps away from all main attractions and dining. Highly recommended for a great experience.
  
  If you are looking for a modern hotel, this is Not it. If you want an authentic experience close to everything, this is it. Very nice and helpful staff. Free breakfast was great. Wooden floor squeaked a little, but that was part of the historic charm.

  Charming little hotel that is well located in the old town. Very good service and the view from our room of the fortress through the skylight was absolutely spectacular. Would love to stay here again.

  The hotel was in a great location. The rooms were spacious and clean. The hotel itself was very clean and well maintained. The staff were very helpful despite our silly tourist questions. I would definitely stay here again and would recommend it to anyone visiting Salzburg.

  Has perhaps the oldest cinema in Europe. Decent free breakfast, very helpful and knowledgeable staff. Great location, we walked everywhere except the airport from this hotel. We stayed across the road in the separate apartment due to being a party of 5. Very clean, comfortable and quiet.

  Nice duplex room in penthouse with big balcony facing the old town.
  The bell from the nearby church irritates a bit. So you need earplugs.
  Good wifi connection!
