Great serviced hotel. Very friendly staff and a fantastic breakfast included.
The location is awesome, in a cobbled street filled with character.

A very nice hotel in a prime old city location, it is part of an original building that was built more than a half century ago. Overall, this is a very luxurious hotel with excellent staff that provide very good service and travel advice. The breakfast is excellent with a wide assortment of options. A few finicky issues include very slow hot water and low headroom in some hallways.

ABSOLUTELY FABULOUS! This place is luxurious and right in the middle of all of the shopping in Salzburg. The restaurant is also very good. We stayed in one of the suites. Go ahead and splurge. It is well worth it. You will not be disappointed.

Back in 2011 I stayed here with my family and appropriately reviewed this hotel 'Just Brilliant!'.
6 years on Just brilliant again!

Having stayed here over Christmas we love this hotel for it's old Salzburg / Austrian 'charm', the decor, the fit-out of the rooms, the service, the staff, the food and of course the amazing location.

It is just a great place to stay and I really can't speak more highly about the hotel as a whole.

If you're looking to stay a night or several this is the Hotel of choice to experience Salzburg and all it has to offer.

Stayed here as part of a Viking River Tour- not the kind of hotel than I choose on my own. This hotel was very unique in my experience - as a 600 year old building the inside is small and winding, and it's easy to get lost. That said, the room was spatious and the staff very pleasant.

Golden Hirsch is one of the best addresses in town. The bar in the lobby is top notch and the staff goes above and beyond to assist with absolutely anything. Rooms are clean and spacious, Austria Style. Great place to stay, if you’re willing to spend a little money.

It’s a beautiful, historic hotel and a member of the spg Luxury Hotels collection. But the interior is something you’ll either love or hate: It’s an old traditional building, so you always have to go through some twisty passage, narrow walkways, or under low arches to get anywhere, and the layout is a bit confusing. Rooms have a very rustic quality and unfortunately the fixtures are showing their age a bit. Staff is wonderful however, and the place has all the amenities you’d expect.

This is one of the best hotels I've ever stayed in. It's located on Getreidegasse, a busy historic shopping street that's also the residence of Mozart. It's basically a 15 minute walk max to a lot of the prime attractions of Old Salzburg. The rooms are absolutely beautiful, with old furnishings such as old paintings, dressers, closets, etc. The bathrooms area very modern and lovely. The toilet is in a separate bathroom from the bathtub and shower. The staff are also extremely friendly and nice. Breakfast buffet was delicious with a wide variety, offering a lot of various pastries and cheeses and spreads to a hot breakfast with eggs, sausage, and bacon. There was also fruit and yogurt and juices as well. Definitely a great 5-star hotel and I would stay there again in a heartbeat.
