AVOID THIS EMBASSY FOR 1ST ENTRY IN EUROPE!!!! This is the laziest, unprofessional embassy in UAE, for sure they will take your money, time and effort to waste. People here never answer the appeal, any calls or email. They should remove this embassy here in UAE.

I am French living in dubai, i was planning to visit multiple cities in Spain with my girlfriend, but they rejected her visa, the reason is : "not enough proof that she will come back to Dubai". She has her own business running here, hired 3 employees this month, have all her family here with a flat on her name. We appealed one month before our flight and now its the day of our flight and we didn't get any answer (after so many calls & emails with no answer). We just lost 5,000 AED of airplane tickets. They are the laziest ever, rejecting people just to be a pain in the ass. Even if i'm French i'll never go to your fu*king country you fu*king mother fu*kers.

We are Chefs in a Cruise Line to begin with. The US Embassy in Dubai granted as visa in less than a week. Spanish Embassy on the other hand, processes the visas way too long. REQUIREMENTS: we don't need return ticket to uae bec.we will be joining our ship in Barcelona. We dont need bank statements bec.we are not tourists.We will be working in a Cruise Ship to EARN money.We definitely do not need a valid UAE visa bec.we will not be working in UAE anymore. I jut cant understand why they make it hard for everybody. Spain is a maritime country since galleon trade. And yet, they dont have a separate visa for seafarers. Oh!C'mon! Next, no follow ups allowed.I tried calling the phone number.they will ask you for the extension. HOW DO I KNOW THE EXTENSION? The staff in BLS doesnt know anything either. So, basically, the process is, submit all your requirements then pray I am really disappointed, España i hope you can read this.

Well at first I received a refusal letter even though I have submitted complete requirements upon my visa application..so I had to do an appeal otherwise all the efforts and money I spent will vanish just like that. At first I was very hopeless because I got only roughly 1 week before my trip and I am still waiting for the result of the appeal plus most of the reviews here are showing that the embassy doesn't give fair decisions most of the time. But luckily I got my visa granted just few days before my trip so I am just happy and thankful. Now I am back here in Abu Dhabi and I need to go back to their office to report (that I CAME BACK) and give them the reference number they gave me before my trip. I just hope next time they will not give me hard time having the visa in the future if ever I plan to go visit europe again. ☺👍🏼

The worst embassy ever . Unreasonable decision. We had all documents even more the inquiry. But even in Appel they said we can't refuse even tho we pay all cruise witch is expensive, we have documents that we have here appartment and car and son going to school so for sure we not gonna stay in Spain , we just going to vacation. But even after all this it was not enough, we lost all money and vacation witch was plan in 4 months in advance . So if u have option to apply thro different course it will be better, coz this one unprofessional ppl who doesn't know why they working even here .

Very difficult and cumbersome processes to get attention. The new beautiful location has not improved the services provided. We wasted 5 hours to come from Dubai and left empty handed and it is not the first time. Really poor attention for the Spanish community in UAE, especially for all of us living in Dubai. Also pity the little money our country spends in the person at reception providing us customer service

Consulate staff are not helpful or pleasant to talk to at all, after visiting Spain for 12 years. It just very strange to see there nature to represent a wonderful country in such a way with a great Attitude, they should remember always they are representing a country here in UAE. I hope it get better next time I visit them!
