Absolutely beautiful wedding venue! Great food, beautiful surroundings. Just located in a dodgy area. Also they locked the gate so I had to walk around to get to my Uber.

An amazing venue. Don't know how to describe it. It's like a fairytale with enchanted castles and towers. Absolutely beautiful!

Really beautiful venue with plenty of picturesque areas for photos. Only snag with it is the limited space when hosting an event with more than 150 people as well as street parking. Night time events aren't recommended as you will lose all the beauty that exists during the day.

Beautiful aetting for a wedding. One forgets that you are in the city. Very helpful staff. It was my daughters wedding and I can not complain about anything.

Beautiful wedding or functions establishment with great view of joburg if you go up the stairs. Lovely place for photography especially weddings. The garden wedding facility can be crowded if you have about 150 guests and also doesn't have adequate shade for garden wedding.

I attended my Nieces' wedding on Friday 30 December 2016. The Venue is absolutely stunning; that unfortunately is where it ended for me. The first drink that I had was served in a filthy glass. The bar is advertised as Credit Card only. I was allowed to pay in cash; still have my receipt which states "No payment received" Tendered R100.00 for R72.00 bill.
The food and service was absolutely appalling; As I understand the venue forces their Brides to use SG's service providers; I can only imagine it is grossly overpriced and a total rip off! I will certainly not recommend any body to use Shepstone Gardens under those T & C's.response / report this review
