Really had a fantastic time. The rides were awesome and the waiting time was not that long. Food is a bit pricey if you have a family of four or more. More neck support on the cobra ride would have been great. Staff were friendly and helpful.

It sucks that the park is closing on the 1st of May 2018, however I can see why the park is rundown, half the rides from your childhood are gone and the average admission price is around R180.00
I really did enjoy the day I spent here, it brought back a lot of memories, and the staff that operate the rides are incredible and friendly.

It was fun while it lasted, but it's pretty clear why it's closing down. The food shops seem to go out of their way to be terrible, despite charging twice a reasonable price. The rides and queue areas have needed cleaning up for years. The cobble paths are paved with cigarette butts. Ratanga is like the dive bar across the street where you grew up, which manages to stay open years after its best days since it didn't check ID and had a karaoke machine.

    You will be missed

Was an enjoyable experience after a long time. Just a pity they took away the diamond devil, crocodile gorge and a few other rides. February was half price, so I guess that's why the queues were so long. Other than that, Ratanga Junction is a great place for a family outing. Such a pity the place is going to close down soon.

Fantastic rides for all ages. Currently running a special on ticket prices. Wear comfortable shoes. A coca cola can is R20. A medium box of hot chips is R19.50. Gates open at 10am on Saturday's. Close at 17pm. There are lockers which one can rent for keeping valuables safe and dry. Certain ride ques move quick while the more popular rides ques take longer. Overall this is a fun day out for the family or friends at reasonable prices.

Beautiful place, nerve wrecking fun activities! Great for kids and adults. I hear it has been sold and will be closing soon. It’s such a shame. No one is doing anything about it.

Though it is a lot more rundown compared to earlier years there is still lots of fun to be had. The main attraction rides, the cobra and monkey falls, are so much fun. It's closing down in 2018 so if you have the time you should definitely do a farewell visit to Ratanga Junction. Such a pity.

Lovely place with a variety of rides and some form of alternative entertainment for those who are not keen on engaging in adrenaline filled activities (it's somewhat limited though). However be prepared for long queues particularly if you get there after 11:00 am. On average you should be able to spend 3 hours at Ratanga and remain completely entertained throughout. I highly recommend the cobra ride.

If it's one of the city of Cape Town's main attributes, it's its unlimited amount of entertainment and beauty. Set in Century City lies the one of the greatest amusement parks in Africa, Ratanga Junction. From the heart-skipping experience on The Cobra, their most famous ride of all, to the Congo Queen and and Monkey Falls will forever leave you in a world engulfed in fun and happiness. A regular landmark for Cape Town families aver the holidays and certainly a must for tourists thirsty for entertainment. Ratanga Junction has it all with an incredibly affordable rate. With all to discover at the park, no family will ever not return to Africa’s greatest Amusement park. It is unfortunate that the park will lose its doors from 1 May 2018, so I would suggest to hurry there as soon as possible!

Looking a little worn out ratanga still offers a great day out. The cobra is an amazing roller coaster , 100 % full tilt all the way. Monkey falls is a really fun ride and will have you wanting to do it all again when you end.

Definitely worth a visit before they close in 2018.

Run down park-it needs a serious upgrade; got discounted tickets at R89 pp, instead of R174, but this was still too much money foe what's on offer.

The only theme park in the western cape. Close during winter. Water rides are sometimes waterless due to water restrictions removing a bit of the fun factor. There is always an issue one or other ride not working on any given day. I think its somewhat overpriced

Not great for families with young kids (under 1.2m). Very small selection of rides for younger ones. On the day of my visit the credit card service wasn't operational. Given the small selection of good rides meant waiting times were high despite the park not being very busy.

Great place it's rather small you can finish everything in under an hour of lines are not too long. But kids would enjoy this most. As an adult the choices are limited.

A great day out when you can catch tickets on special. Usually extremely crowded. Make sure you arrive early to avoid queues for a bit.

Disappointing that they've started removing rides but still charge the same price.

Unforgettable birthday party venue for our 8 year old. Rides cater for young and old. Well worth the visit.

Can't believe that your useless opening times. They are not open Monday to Saturday the are only open on Saturdays in the off season. Wasted my time driving half way across the country for a week holiday and the day after I leave they are open. They need to update their page
