Great venue for gamblers,but so much to do for the kids. Tinpin bowling, ice skating,gaming and many shows held throughout the year. Food hall big enough for all visitors. Recommended to purchase lunch or supper an hour before the time to avoid the rush. Restaurants also available for those whom prefer to not have fast food. Very friendly staff and very safe as the security is top notch.

Took the kids ice skating. Very well run and they always have a good time. Rink for little ones, and a bigger rink for people who know how to skate. Really cool atmosphere with lights and music. Right by the food places too, so it makes for a fun session with a lunch or whatever after. Great fun.

Best place to relax, have fun or have an outing with the children, family or friends. Casino is a good place to relax and enjoy yourself. The children or even the family can enjoy the ice rink, tenpin bowling and the amusement area. The live shows they have at the grand arena is a must if you are close to Cape Town. GrandWest is always very clean on the inside and shops as well. Very good place to spend the day.

I stayed there over a weekend, and I loved the warmth of the staff. We were treated very well; the entertainment system in the room is great; and the 24hr complimentary WiFi was the cherry on top, as I was unable to leave the grounds all weekend. The reception area is classy, as well as the waiting areas.

The only downers, I'd say, are that the rooms were not completely clean. I found an old grape in the room, probably from the previous occupant. Also, the bathroom ceiling could do with some more scrubbing; something was growing along the corners.

I would definitely recommend anyone to stay here once the additional cleaning has been done. I wasn't disappointed at all.

It is well run and the staff are quite good but still lack real professionalism.

I am not a fan of fake components in an interior nor architecture that is incongruous with its neighbours. This IS what GrandWest has unfortunately.

But it's safe, neat and organized and has a great ice rink. So for the non-aesthete non-snobs, don't hold back.

Great family center and adult gambling options. Well secured and offers more than just gambling. Many food places and great for small and big music and live entertainment shows. Loads to do and see.

The security are a little uptight here. It can get very crowded. Good ice skating rink. The whole gambling thing is a little sad for me, some people clearly dig it.

A good place to bring family and go out with some friends. Felt safe and looked after. It gets noisy, so definately not a place for a quiet romantic dinner

Great place for young kids. Check out the bowling place. Variety in fast good places. Had no problem finding a parking space.

It's a casino. I'm not into casinos. But it's also a venue for live performances so I've been often. And it's does a good job in this respect - it's big enough for a couple of thousand people but still feels intimate. There's also an ice rink here and my friends who have kids visit regularly - then again it's the only ice rink in Cape Town. There are some reasonable restaurants and a cinema complex too. I can't tell you anything about the casino. I'm not into casinos.

This place has lost the plot. One is required to pore water out of a plastic bottle into a plastic cup.

The staff as well as management are rude. Time to sell your sun international shares because this place is going down! I wonder why?

I certainly will never return. Especially since the staff takes pleasure in discriminating against disabled persons and goes out of their way to upset their guests.

One is not allowed to take photos outside the casino facilities. Could management please ask Google to remove the 198+ photos posted here on Google to conform to this establishments idiotic rules.

I attend a variety of shows/events here however, I personally, have not been to the casino. Some of the attractions include movies, an ice rink, a bowling alley, laser games and a game arcade for the whole family. Also, there are a number of well known fast food brands available.

Have all sorts of entertainments. I like going for the movies here because the seats and are more comfortable compared to Canal walk as well as the curvature layout of the seats.

This is a place for fun with children they can learn ice skating and there is lots of games for kids in one area and lots of eating places too. You can watch movies too at this place it is very comfortable in the movie rooms. I know some people go there to gamble but let us not prevent our children from this exposure because do we know who will offer to take them to these places. It is a very nice place to let your child or children's spirit run free since there is not a lot of places to enjoy. Visit it please and have the whole lot of fun.

The ice skating was VERY good. I recommend wearing 2 pairs of socks. Very reasonable price for what you get and very large. Cannot comment on casino itself however.
