Restaurant- Good food, awesome milkshakes and a nice contemporary environment with friendly staff. Has a decent amount of parking space around the building too. Perhaps just priced slightly higher than typical restaurants, but it is a hotel primarily after all.

The customer service is poor. The check in process was very long and the male receptionist did not even bother to take me through the range of membership packages the hotel has. Despite waiting for such a long period there was not even a single apology or explanation for the delay.

Despite water shortages in Cape Town during this period, I had to literally beg for complimentary bottled spring Water.

The hotel lacks a number of essential services like a business centre, poor room service, no porter services, and their inability to serve breakfast as room service: when i called to order breakfast, the restaurant told me they can't guarantee how long it would take to serve room service because they were busy, and I must just come to the restaurant to have breakfast. When I went to the restaurant I was surprised that it qas bot busye and there were only about 10 customers!

The room I was allocated on the first floor was more like a hostel. It eas very dark and there was no wardrobe. The open area where clothes were to be hung was so high and could only reached by someone close to 2 metres tall. I had to leave my clothes in my suitcase!

In my preparation for the evening function I had to attend, I requested an iron and an ironing board to press the clothes I would be wearing. But I waited for a very long time and had to call 4 more times before I was assisted.

I don't think I will ever book this hotel again.

It is actually Afro gem. An amazing place. A gem. A whole new world of discovery. All the stones and crystals you can think of on display and for sale aswell as gold and silver jewellery. They offer tours to groups and i must say the most friendly people ive met in a long time. A must visit when you are in South Africa.

Never have heard anything like this: we book a week in advance to take our friends out for dinner for their wedding anniversary. Get a phone call 2 nights before to “cancel our reservation because they have a bigger better table that booked, sorry”. Absolutely ridiculous. And when ask how is this possible their replies were rude not not very helpful. We certainly did not expect this from such a “fancy” place. You would think that with their annual income they should be able to train their staff or simply employ better staff. After seeing the reviews here we can see a pattern: Poor, unfriendly and unprofessional service for a so called 4 star hotel.

World Class hotel with clean rooms and state of the art security to the rooms. The kitchen offers a variety of healthy food and drinks.

Great views in the 2nd Floor rooms facing the City side. The rooms are well lit and sunshine can be enjoyed from the comfort of the living room. The sunshine part can be a bad thing for the curtains , one or two could look tattered or too old but it’s not a big deal. The class of everything else will make one surely love this place.

A few hundred meters away from Long Street hehehe . Ask around about Long Street surely it’s a very looooooong story.

Visited South Africa and decided to stay here while we were in Cape Town. From the moment we walked in we were greeted with friendliness and offered a drink while we completed in the check in process. Nolene at the front desk was wonderful! She got us our room (with a really nice view of the city) and suggested that we go to Long Street. We had an amazing night on Long Street all thanks to her. Overall the staff was attentive and provided all types of suggestions. We didn’t really stay in the room but I will say our room was extremely nice and clean. Also their breakfast is unmatched. Thanks guys!

Bordering on boutique hotel. Dark and bright designs compliment each other. Not huge. Good views. Caters more for foreigners than South Africans which is pretty much the norm in Cape Town.

Great all-day and late night lounge offering a free 5 star hotel restaurant menu. Amazing selection of milkshakes that are large in quantity and flavour. My new favourite late night chill zone. A must visit.

Visited the place to watch a comedy show in their event facility and this review is limited to my experience in the bar, reception and conference facilities. These spaces I found then to quite clean with nice ambience music. I found the conference place pretty cold though but it may have been just me. Staff clean and I like the idea of the informal golf t-shirt and jeans attire, adds to a relaxed vibeperhaps too relaxed especially in the bar area.

Very poor service from the chef. Failed to deliver my order as requested and informed me he would charge me extra to correct his FAILURE. For a hotel and restaurant of it's standing I am extremely disappointed by the lack of customer service.

Would want to rate the less than 1 star. Would not recommend this restaurant to anyone.

Was very nice, although if staff could not move around furniture at 6 am that'd be great. Also having a baby next door wasn't great. People were friendly and the food was good. The place is very fancy and I had a nice view of table mountain.

What a great stay. Avril the lady that received us at reception was so friend and helpful. Could not ask for anyone better at a front desk. Helpful and explained everything precisely. Leaving you with no question. The hotel have a great atmosphere and everything is of great taste. You don't need to leave the hotel for anything. Heated pool on the second floor and a gym on the third floor. Great bar, great restaurant. Great room. Would definitely recommend it to anyone else.

I've never stayed overnight but seen almost all of their rooms, I love all of the different themes and how out there some of them are, even the lifts! Delicious milkshakes, great food (try their burgers) and a really cool, relaxed atmosphere at the bar. You can enjoy a quiet drink, get some work done, play a game of chess (built into the long glass table) and try out their huge variety of desserts.

LOVE this place. It's at the top of Long st and a great place to get the party started, even if you aren't staying there. The views from the rooms are stunning as well, looking at Table Mountain or Lions Head.

I thought the hotel was ultra modern and swanky, very plush. I did not like the bartender though, seemed to have a serious attitude for no apparent reason. Standard rooms are very tiny, super cool shower enclosure in the middle of the room. You read that right.

A buzz of international visitors, I go sit there to work every once in a while. They make a good cup of coffee, and they have beer and barsnacks too. Highly recommended.

Warm welcome, friendly staff. Great food, had an awesome waiter at the bar:). Loved the fact that the Hotel had a heated pool [Evening swim] and a gym for a quick work out. Parking could be better but overall had an enjoyable stay.
