Hotel with a character and good service and good location. We stayed in Sandton Sun the week before and this one was definitely much more luxurious and with better atmosphere.

The rooms are a bit 90's luxury, but beds are very comfortable and rooms have a nice size, service is very friendly. Everytime we go to Johannesburg we go there. Ouh! Nice pool.

It is tremendously good value for money. The room are absolutely stunning. The hotel is beautiful, clean and lovely. Great location, several restaurants right outside the door with good security. Friendly and helpful staff. Facilties and amenities are excellent. Everything about this hotel and experience is created to magical.

We had a large group for dinner and had booked a private room. The service is excellent and they have a small button that they place next to you that you press when you require the next course or service. The food is excellent. We had various options for the starters from smoked chicken to grilled salmon to butternut and feta cheese. The main course we had the grilled lamb, chicken with parmesan risotto, and the king clip with vegetables. For dessert, I highly recommend the chocolate cake--real chocolatey and a very generous serving. This is definitely a great place for a meal and great service.

My time at this hotel was magnificent. My mother and I are Americans and we enjoyed a seven day trip in Jozi. This was the perfect location. Atlegang and the entire team made us feel like the most important people in the world. If we had a question about Jozi, confusion about our accommodations, or even just wanted to chat with a friendly face, they were there. Melrose Arch is definitely more bourgeoisie than someone who backpacks might be used to. However, there were great restaurants, friendly faces, and even a mall with a grocery store all in the square. We will definitely be staying here when we return to Jozi.

Briefly met someone for coffee here. Stylish, upmarket and comfortable. Exceptional service. You pay a premium - but it is justified. Highly recommended.

Had the most incredible once in a life time meal using nothing but indigenous goods and creativity. Skill of the young Chefs in the kitchen under Chef Adrian out shine most senior kitchens in Joburg.

One of my favorite hotels in Johannesburg, upmarket and chic design right in the heart of Melrose Arch. This kind of hotel is for those looking to spend time exploring the various unique outlets in close vicinity to the hotel along with tantalizing their taste buds at all the different restaurants at your disposal. The rooms are so interesting! Colorful and modern with interesting extras like inbuilt sound system in the roof for the TV, a selection of DVD's to choose from and your safe hidden behind a painting. In this case I am the kind of person that would most probably spend more time in the room then out and about shopping

The hotel has good service and great food. They used to be a novelty concept of dinig barefoot in the shallow pools. May not be as frequent but still a great place. The coffee longe within a library is very welcoming and has a warm feeling.

We love this hotel. It's not really family friendly so keep that in mind if you have children.
