Inexpensive, clean, well appointed rooms. We stayed 2 nights and it was very comfortable and convenient.

The rooms were underwhelming and the extra blanket was not clean. The food was worse (Dinner) though breakfast was alright. The service great but they need to work on their meals. Dinner was very limited and it's the same every night.

Was there for work. Everything in room was functional. Staff very helpful. Wake up call at 5 am every morning. One morning did not hear phone - staff member came to my room and knocked on door to wake me.

Mercure is such a lovely, quaint hotel. It's so close to all the essential structures like a shopping mall (BrightWater Commons Mall) and garages. You cannot miss the gigantic, purple sign beaming in your face. Apon arrival, a security guard greets you at the gate. You make you're way to reception and they book you in. The staff are hilarious and very patient. Greeting you when you enter and exit. You can get a smoking or non smoking room and your choice of 2 single beds or a double bed. They offer an all you can eat breakfast but at a cost, and they use environmentally friendly towels. In the bathroom, they put up these saches to inform you that it's been sterilized. They have these cute did you know notes as well. Standard coffee, kettle and glassess as well as soap, shower gel and towels are the bathroom. There's also an outlet to shave. The only issue was that the cleaning staff would knock on your door numerous times while you're sleeping which can be irritating but overall, a pleasant surprise. You won't regret it.

Rooms presentation is decent. Needs to give focus on the cleanliness of the bathroom. Staff are friendly.

Well this accomodation was very well priced. Not really in a good area for restaurant hunting in the evening and a little in need of a lick of paint and some TCL. However despite the lacking ambiance the staff were all friendly and would be highly recomended for the tired travellar for a cheap bed. Ròom safe never worked either.

Hotel is just OK. Rooms are OK although they could be refreshed a bit.
Wi-Fi is slow and limited in volume.

Basic, but clean budget hotel. Conveniently located just off Republic Rd. in Randburg with relatively easy access to N1 highway. The Brightwater Commons Shopping center is just around the corner.

After been robbed in one hotel close by, i moved in and it was the best i ever had, you might want to change somethings in your bar BUT its good atmosphere, amicable staff, safe and secure

On the positive side:Quiet, convenient location and bed comfortable. Hotel is very clean, very quiet. The downside:Room outdated and plumbing very noisy. No room service, Carpet had a bit of a smell which was very unpleasant. Would not recommend, unfortunately.

Very nice, clean and affordable hotel. Well situated. Restaurant staff could be friendlier and needs a swimming pool for those hot summer days.
