Wonderful staff, and thank you, Joe, for help with my e-waste and batteries.
It should be easier to drop off household hazardous waste. Staff are very professional and courteous. But why do they have to take your ID? Tell us to stay in the car? Why can't we just drop stuff off without all the procedures? It's hard enough to just collect the stuff over the weeks/months at home, and drive it deep into heavy industry world. But we also have to arrange the stuff in our cars so that the staff can readily identify what to take. And we're not allowed to touch it? Does every household really go through all this?
As full-time RVers, we have to look for recycling places. Took 2 small bags of standard (paper, plastic, cans, etc.) single-stream items here, and a guy came out, and said it was all garbage.
Then he wanted to send me back to the scales to weigh it.
I told him all we were trying to do was do right by the environment, but all I got from him in return was a hassle!
I thought WM was better than that.
I've used WM a few times and the staff is helpful and friendly. Never been disappointed. They work for your safety and their own. So use your head! No garbage bags full of oil or fuel! Seriously!
Waste Management - Sacramento Dumpster Rental has got to be the most poorly run business I have ever dealt with. Not only can they not communicate with dispatch to get the right dumpsters delivered they also cannot keep their billing straight. I have spent no less than 4 hours on the phone with them arguing about a dumpster that doesn't even exist on our property. They promised the problem was fixed last time after a representative actually came to our house to confirm we DO NOT have a 40 yard dumpster hidden on the property and today I got another invoice for the mystery dumpster. Avoid doing business with them if possible. It isn't worth the endless headache or high fees.
