This is the only resort that my wife and I stay in in Park City. We have stayed at numerous high end resorts and this one definitely has the best staff. My wife and I stayed in a presidential suite which included two rooms, separate staff room, full kitchen, and hot tub for our 1 year anniversary. The hotel did kind of screw up our reservation but the manager on duty made everything 100% better. I will definitely be coming back and enjoying many more stays here. Thanks Westgate!
Have been here for 2 days so far out of a 7 day trip. So far this place has been great! The staff has been very friendly and helpful. They have a free shuttle that will take you to places around town. The ski storage is a nice touch, they will take your skis to the gondola or shuttle for you. It's a shame the weather is off to a slow start, but that's not Westgate's fault.
Most definitely my favorite place to stay in Park City. We come up here for a week and there is so much to do! Pool, ping pong, wet sauna, dry sauna, AWESOME POOL FOR KIDS, awesome hot tubs for adults, BEST HOTEL GYM I HAVE EVER BEEN TO, spa, and I love the rooms. The workers always are friendly and say hello. Oh yeah! There’s a game room.
The room was fine. The steakhouse was great. The jet tub in the bedroom was nice but the shower head part was loose and was leaking water. The kitchen was stocked with the cheapest tools/instruments they could find.
The guy trying to sell us a timeshare was very frustrating. They told us it would take 90 minutes but ran over that time by more than an hour. This ex-Amway MLM guy was full of manipulative statements and flat out lies. The "deal" they offered on the timeshare was ludicrous as well. We'll never forget that sales pitch and we'll never be back.
While I own a timeshare here, my family is always excited for a week stay here. The stay is friendly, helpful and responsive. The rooms are clean, homey and have beautiful views. The resort is a few miles outside of Park City which provides a good halfway point between main street in Park City and Kimball Junction.
My family won a 2 night stay as long as they went to their timeshare meeting. Doesn't seem like a bad gig right? Wrong. Starting off with the parking. They directed us to a specific garage to park. No available spaces and if you make it all the way to the top it is nearly impossible to turn around. Not to mention they parked their own equipment in the guest parking stalls. The elevator we used didn't fully work and there was water covering the floor from pool users, I would have figured they'd have someone monitoring that since it is a slipping hazard. It was difficult to get all our luggage to put room because they don't offer luggage carts. Once we get to our room we are very surprised to see how small it is. We could barely fit 4 people in the living room comfortably. The wood bases on our sink in the bathroom was splintering. Our toilet was the loudest thing I've ever heard. The jet tub barely fit myself and I'm a petite 5'1. The pull out sofa is probably the biggest safety and fire hazard I've ever seen. 1 it completely blocks off the door, no easy way to leave the room without climbing over the bed, 2 the stools that were in the living room had to be put in the hall to be able to put the bed down blocking the way to the bedroom. The sofa bed was uncomfortable, the pillows old and lumpy. I have stayed in motel 6s more spacious and nicer than this place. I would not come back here again not even for another free trip.
My 3 year old child slipped in some water that came from the ceiling leaking near my jetted tub in the room we had rented. I immediately called the front desk and told them what happened and the front desk said they would send someone to come check it out. I waited 10 minutes and no one came so I called the the front desk again and she told me that the guy would be there at any moment but I had let her know that we were going to have to switch rooms because you don’t pay this much to stay somewhere with a ceiling that is leaking everywhere but she was rude and told me there was no other rooms available. The guy showed up and looked at the ceiling dripping everywhere and I let him know that the front desk told me there was no other room available but he said that was unacceptable and called the front desk and said he would be back, so then he comes back about 10 minutes later and told me they found a room and then he helped us move our stuff to the other room. I had to switch rooms with my two kids under the age of three while being pregnant and it took until 12:45 at night to get everything switched over. Not to mention I had to wake up with my kids and then stay up with them for hours until they fell asleep again but if you have kids then you know once you wake them up it’s very difficult to get them to go back to sleep. Anyways fast forward to the morning I call down to the front desk because the housekeeper came and knocked at 8:30 am and said check out was at 9:30 am. I told the manager that we didn’t even get to go to sleep until 3-4 am because of this whole mess and she tells me that I can stay until noon. She then told me she would give me a 75 credit and take us out to lunch but I told her I didn’t think that rectified the situation so I told her after I got showered and dressed I would go down and talk to her. Around 10 I go downstairs and the supervisor grabs Martin the manager of guest services and he tells me to tell him what happened so I do and he says the whole thing was out of their hands because it had been another guest in the room above us making a mess of their jacuzzi spilling water everywhere which caused the leak in the roof. I then told him that wasn’t taking responsibility for what happened at all by blaming the guest who stayed above us because at the end of the day this isn’t the guests hotel. We went back and forth for a little while because he wasn’t wanting to take responsibility for anything. He then said he would see if they could even do anything to make this up for us and we left it at that because I was so heated. I returned to my room to continue packing and the phone rang and it was Martin. He said I looked over your reservation and I’m going to give you 50% off the rate you paid for the room. He then told me that that was more than enough compensation for everything that happened and I told him I didn’t really think that solved the problem but he continued to argue that that was fair enough and more than I should have received. I couldn’t believe my ears because they honestly did nothing and I said well the manager had said she would give me a 75 dollar credit and take us out to lunch as well but he then said no she told you she would give you a 75 dollar credit to eat at the pub we have here, that’s it. I told him $75 for 6 people? Are you kidding me? This hotel is a joke and the manager of guest services (Martin) was unprofessional and didn’t take into consideration everything we had gone through with our kids at 1 am. They didn’t care for their guests the way they should have and continued to shift responsibility to the guest who had spilled water from their jacuzzi causing the leak in the ceiling. Never will I stay here again after being treated so badly and neither should you because for the price they should care a lot more about their guests.
It's a great hotel with extremely professional staff (well yeah, except for the housekeeper who didn't speak English who was knocking on my door at 8 repeatedly). Unfortunately, the hotel is showing its age. The internet is slow, they ran out of hot water, they have only a handful of electrical outlets (and several didn't every work), and I can't remember the last time I stayed somewhere with a 10 o'clock checkout. And their room was so SMALL! Put two people in there and it feels more like a sardine can than a luxury hotel. Despite that, it's got the appeal of being in park city with amenities that will entice guests to get out of those tiny bedrooms.
I am truly amazed with Michelle Hutchens and staff. I recently booked a room at the Westgate and called the Spa to inform them I wanted to purpose to girlfriend at the spa. They were so professional and had open arms to help me with this very special occasion. The team came up with a creative idea and helped me get all setup. They even went above and beyond and accommodated me with Chocolate covered strawberries and Champagne. They were true professionals and genuinely cared. I can't thank them enough for assisting in the most romantic moment in my life. 5 stars and the scenery is absolutely stunning! Highly recommend the spa and staff. Special thanks to Michelle, Lily, Sophie and Amanda!
They first Keyed our room wrong and it takes 30 minutes to walk to and from the lobby for a replacement
We were over charged for our room stay by $40 and Manager argues with me and says there is nothing she can do with major attitude.
Jetted tub does not work, technician needed to come fix it.
TV has narration on that staff cannot change. It takes over an hour to have 3 technicians try and fix it, all the while our times stay is being wasted on issues that need fixing.
The tub has metal buttons at the bottom of it that make it super uncomfortable to stand or sit in the tub
The room is tiny and cramped, only a 12 x 12 ft space. King sized bed takes up the entire room making it extremely difficult for my wife and son to move around.
I have stayed in three other resorts at Park City, and Westgate by far has been the worst. Extremely disappointed, I will not be coming back. I will also tell all my friends and family of this experience, so that they don't have to find out the hard way and be disappointed if they ever stayed here.
I showed up here for a surprise birthday party. Finding the location was easy. I parked in self-parking even though valet was complimentary (don't really trust people with my car). I then tried to locate the guest room for the party. It's a nightmare trying to navigate this place (maybe it's better with a room key). I tried to find the front desk but couldn't figure it out. I called the group I was mating and was finally able to figure it out. Anyways, the rooms looked nice and clean. The resort looked like a place I wouldn't mind going to again. I am not sure about the price though.
We use to love this place!! But from now on we will chose Marriott over Westgate. We stayed Apr 2017 and were not real impressed with it. First off we were given the wrong room. We booked the 1 bedroom suite with full kitchen and fireplace. We were given the smaller side with half kitchen and teeny tiny bathroom. With 3 kids, one in a crib, this room just wasn't going to work. When we told them and showed our reservation description, which clearly stated the bigger room, We were told they were overbooked as is. I think they bumped us from our original room because we got a cheaper rate. 2 nights later they moved us to the room we were suppose to have. Dishes were dirty, dish washer was horrible at cleaning Dishes, and the room just wasn't very clean. The arcade was fun and pool area is well maintained.
The studio is small but the one bedrooms are large and worth the money. Amenities are great! I did not like the people drinking in the hot tubs. And sometimes people try to smoke around. But they are trying to serve which makes up for it all.
We ate at Edge steakhouse and Drafts. Both were excellent. Drafts had the best burger and totchos I have ever had. There pork belly sliders are great too. Service was fast and restaurant was clean. Edge was amazing. Their food is of the highest quality and there is no one that even compares. I had the rib eye cap dinner which was cooked perfectly. I also had the sweet chili shrimp and the black truffle mac 'n cheese. Both delicious.
