I have been whitewater rafting 6 times with different touring companies from West Virginia, Tennessee, and Colorado. West Virginia Adventures is the absolute best rafting experience my family has had.
Everyone at West Virginia Adventures has a great attitude to create the best experience. From booking, to preparation and safety, to the rafting, every team member is professional, knowledgeable, and fun.
Our family has now rafted with West Virginia Adventures twice and we so enjoyed the experience and team, we will be booking them for every rafting trip we take. I highly recommend them as they have great value and provide a better experience than other companies that charge much higher.response / report this review -

Started our honeymoon off here as a pit stop on our way down South. It did not disappoint. We had an amazing time. Our guide Randy was awesome. The owner came out as our spotter and spent the day with us. Great guy, great company. We will be back again soon.

Had an excellent time as a couple joining others on an eight person raft. Our guide was amazing (as was every guide with our group during our experience) even when dealing with some boat-mates who didn't fully understand the seriousness of paying attention during more dangerous parts of the river. Would strongly recommend this River and this company for first timers!

Had a great day on the river with our guide Phil. He let us know when we could jump out and swim from the raft. He also showed us a cliff jumping place and took video on our phones of us jumping! The provided lunch was great and included vegetarian and kid friendly options.

Had a great time with my wife and two sons (ages 11 and 13). They had a blast and we felt very safe with our experienced guide Jack. Everything went smoothly from reservations to check-in to rafting to bus ride back to our car! Thanks for the great memories!

Great experience and adventure! This is a smaller rafting company and they have a much more personal and friendly atmosphere. The guides were highly skilled with many years on experience. Trips were on time and lunch was good. Camping is rustic on a small site on the back 40 of their property. There is a clean shower and bath facility.

Wonderful experience! Well organized and great guides Food was perfect on a hot day Staff went out of their way to be helpful and hospitable .Bathrooms and showers at home base were clean and well kept Highly recommend them for families and thrill seekers

We went rafting with a group of six of our friends and had an absolute blast! Three of us were first timers and we can't wait to go back for more! The scenery was amazing, the weather was perfect, and the ride itself was incredible! Our guide, Jimmy, was the best! He knew the river so well and made us all feel completely comfortable along the way. We highly recommend this trip to anyone interested in rafting!

WOW! We just returned home a few hours ago from our day-long trip on the lower New River, and I want to say we had an absolutely fabulous time! I've rafted this river before, with a larger company--and there's no comparison. I remember having fun last time, because river rafting is a blast--but I also remember feeling somewhat disappointed by that guide's lack of instruction, and his sometimes sarcastic attitude. Our guide today, Tennyson, really knew what he was doing, was a great teacher, made our safety his #1 priority, and made it a TON of fun! He's got a laid back personality, which made the trip relaxing and fun--but he made sure we knew what to do and worked well as a team before we ever got to the rapids; and before each set of rapids, we knew EXACTLY what to do and where to swim in case one of us fell in the river (none of us did). He also made sure we had plenty of opportunities to jump in the river, including jumping off "the rock." :D We had the full range of ages on our boat: teens, young professionals, middle age and more mature--he got along great with everybody. Our other guide, Randy--the one in the accompanying kayak, which held the first aid gear--was a riot, and the two of them worked GREAT together. I will NEVER use or recommend another rafting company. West Virginia Adventures is the cream of the crop! Thanks again for a wonderful adventure and a lot of laughs! And thanks also to Debbie for her steady driving on those one-lane roads!

AMAZING! Great raft guides. Great service. We had to switch the number in our group 4 times in the weeks leading up to our trip and they never complained or gave us a hard time. They were extremely accommodating.
They are also extremely experienced on the river and know how to keep the rafters happy and safe.response / report this review
