Nice and perfectly located but old and noisy building, you hear your neighbors.
Room furniture are getting outdated but no big deal. No A/C though.
On the other hand you are just in front of the boardwalk and the hotel has balconies freely accessible just up the boardwalk

Very fun place. Not a quite place but a very eclectic place with a bunch of lively folk. beautiful veiws and great food all over.

The friendliest, most helpful staff ever, beautiful view right in the middle of the Venice beach vitality. Disclaimer, this is not a modern hotel, it has a few updates, but it's an authentic slice of what rooming was like in the early 1900's. So if that's not your cup of tea, maybe move on. Enjoy the experience and make sure you ride the elevator-it's amazing!

Great location. Historic building with character. Rooms are clean and as described. Staff are friendly and happy to have a chat, rooftop deck is awesome, plenty of seating and well maintained. Would highly recommend this hotel.

Only stayed one night at this really cool place. Location could not be any better. Staff was so super friendly and helpful and the room was perfect. The only reason there are only 4 stars is because the water pressure in the shower was almost nil. Everything else was perfect. Beware the elevator . . . this would require an "E" ticket from Disneyland. Really a trip and quite entertaining. If you are thinking of this place, I would book it. We'll be back!

We loved absolutely everything about this hotel! Great Location! Amazing Staff! Fully equipped kitchen. Chairs, toys, boogie boards, umbrellas avaliable for free.

Can't wait to come back when it's warmer !

Nice rooms. We had a perfect "1 bedroom studio" style room with a full kitchen. They also have larger ocean front suites available. Its a nice hotel that's right on the boardwalk in the heart of Venice Beach!

I was very happy staying here. The management is super flexible, and if the room is not booked for the next day, they will give you a late check-out with no extra charge. They helped us with everything we asked for. They have all the stuff you need to go to the beach (chairs, umbrellas, balls, toys), so, don't worry. The room is beautiful and comfortable, although the restroom is a little bit small.
