Crazy kool west Hollywood vibe right on sunset. Great pool deck, Excellent food, awesome hospitality. Expensive but par for the course.

Weird vibe from the get go. They had a naked girl in a glass tank in the lobby and the bar/pool area had sketchy vibes. We went with a group of 13 but everyone else there looked like they came alone. All in all a weird experience and would probably not go back ever

Super cool vibe, Décor throughout hotel and rooms is very cool. Clean, spacious, nice big work space in room. Balcony view was awesome :) friendly, chic, trendy. Great location right on sunset. Will def recommend and will stay again. The service is usually spot on however once in a while you will run into a snag. The diner downstairs is fantastic. A little pricey but delicious. One of the mornings we went it was a slow with the service; however I’d still go back next time :)

This hotel is hands down the worst experience I have ever had. An old building with less than average amenities repainted to little end. Rooms don't have a full compliment of practical items that any standard hotel would offer, no room service, irregular hours and poor service in the hotel restaurants, and generally clueless and pretentious staff. The worst is that in addition to all of these issues, there are loud bass beats emanating from the lounge downstairs until three in the morning every night, so don't imagine this is a place where you'll actually get any sleep. If you're 17 years old and you'd like a 'party' hotel experience and feel cool because you're uncomfortable or so wasted you can't remember anyhow, maybe this is for you. For anyone else, don't waste your time or your money in this dump.

This place rocks. Luke Somerset, the manager, is the man. The pool area is indescribable. DJ, night life, night club, amazing restaurant, awesome rooms, this place rocks. It's my second time here.

We wanted to stop in for a $14 cocktail, but the person at the door took one look at us and said we would have to pay $50 minimum for drinks. Don't know why anyone would go there. We went to pink taco close by instead, and it was great!

A bad experience that started with check in. We (3 of us) arrived to the hotel at 4 pm and we were told that the room will be ready shortly. After waiting 40 minutes, we left our luggage at the front desk and went for a bite. We were told the luggage will be in our room when we come back. 2 hrs later, our luggage was still in the reception area. The room did not have towels and was missing the extra bed we requested. The front desk was operated by a group of teenagers who either did not understand the concept of customer service/professionalism or did not have any interest in it. Upon checking out, the hotel was supposed to split the bill over 2 different credit cards; 2 days later i was checking my account to see that the whole amount was ran on my credit card. I called to inquire and was answered by one of the teenagers who got irritated when I told her 'you're talking too fast and I can't understand what you're saying' (PS: she was also chewing a gum). She asked me to call the finance/accounting dept; I called and noone answered, so i left a voice with details and a request to call me back. I never got a call back from them. In summary, I do not recommend this hotel. Contrary to its name, it's way below standards.

I love this hotel and The Standard. My stay was perfect. The pool is everything you need in LA, staff was friendly, food was incredible. Rooms are spacious and the overall vibe is just trendy and comfortable. Highly recommended!

Comfortable and trendy. TV and Internet are weak at best. If you don't have to do a lot of work involving the Internet, it's nice and a pleasant distraction of a place.

Pretty good price for a room right on Sunset Boulevard. Service was great and they have all the amenities you need, although it's definitely not a "nice" hotel. You can tell the furniture is super, super cheap: the carpet, the desks, the headboard, the lamps, the TV, everything. It's clean; or at least it appeared to be really clean to me but it's definitely not a nice hotel. Great if you want to have a good time with friends, party, hit the pool and be in a good part of LA, though.

The amenities are well thought out and the location is fantastic! Super friendly staff, great food, awesome pool deckjust so many great things about this place. Would definitely stay there again.
