Overall it's a fun place. I think the staff & rules is too serious about bumping etc. They are go carts & your wearing helmets, rubbing is racing. They say you race for time and not placement. That's not as fun when they flag you to let another car pass. The cars are not the same speed or balanced. One car can be ~1.5 seconds faster than the other cars. The wait times can be long depending on the time & day.
We had a great time. Make sure you do more than 1 race so you get your money's worth. I'm definitely going back.
Of course its expensive High levels of insurance, a massive facility with technically 3 tracks inside, and high end equipment along side instant race data Not to mention that its next door to a good eatery complete with game rooms and a stocked bar What better way to have grown up fun. Rainy day or not my friends and I had a blast and will definitely be back
The staff is really friendly and interactive. We went as a work group and had a lot of fun! The staff was really laid back and willing to ask questions. Really fun team building event! Everyone had a lot of fun and still talking about it! Would go again and recommend it!
If you like racing or have a need for speed this is your place. This IS NOT A KIDS GO CART TRACK. Helmets are provided and required. If that tells you anything. These carts are fast. Awesome
Don't give them your email address because they will not leave you alone. Racing was great and people working there were super.
Veloce was a fun and thrilling place to be. If you are serious about racing, check this place out. Karts are very fast. I was told they can go upwards of 50mph! They definitely felt that fast. Plenty of laps for the money. All the staff members were great and guided everyone to the right places and conducted the races well. They also have racing leagues on Mondays and supertrack on the first and third Tuesday of the month. I was very pleased with this place and will be back.
Go-Karts were awesome. Super safe and we had a blast. My issues are how fast they try and get you through. We had no time to grab some food or a drink. It felt like their main focus was getting our races out of the way and out the door.
Raced there this weekend. Had a great time. Karts are definitely very fast. All of the staff was very fun and professional. I would highly recommend trying it out if you've never been there.
If I could, I wouldn't give any stars.
Here's a full play by play of our atrocious night.
We walked in, and went to the checkout. The lady responded by telling us we had to make racing profiles at a separate kiosk that had nothing telling us to go there first. After waiting about 20 minutes in line to the checkout, we paid for 3 total races (INCLUDING A SIX DOLLAR PER PERSON LICENSE FEE THAT SEEMED TO SERVE NO PURPOSE) that were rather expensive. We then walked to the floor to wait our turn and watch the races going on. There was a group of about 6 guys racing on one track who we overheard bought 5 races, with a private party on the other. The six guys raced, got off, and got back on again. After that happened a few times, we went to the counter to ask about it. By then it had been like an hour. They claimed that the usual protocol was one group goes, then another. We then asked how those guys could keep going, and where we were in the upcoming race order. Turns outTHE CASHIER DIDN'T PUT US IN THE QUEUE!!! She seemed like she had no idea what the heck was going on, giving us a blank stare and barely talking. So she did after that. After the guys finished their races, we were optimistic that it was finally our turn. Turns out the party of people behind us in line got to go since we were put in the queue after them!!! At this point we had been waiting for an hour and a half, and were very fed up. (In the meantime, there was an accident on the other track, shutting it down for a while. The one positive thing I can say, is that medical attention was quickly given to the man affected. ) We went to the counter and requested a full refund, which we were given after about 15 minutes of waiting. No "Sorry for the inconvenience!" No "Hey, here's a free race for your troubles". Just a silent refund. They didn't seem to care that we were unhappy, and acted like they didn't want to solve our problem countless times during the hour and a half. The whole operation seemed poorly run and understaffed, and was a total disappointment.
If you're looking for good Go Karting in the southeastern Wisconsin area, there are other places that are miles better than Veloce.
Great time. Three races is enough to beat you up for an afternoon. Makes me wonder how pro drivers do 200 lap races. Quite expensive for two people. $100 gets two people 30 actual racing minutes.
Carts were very fast! Hold on in the turns! Plenty of race time allowed- I wan worn out at the end of the race. Staff were attentive, only complaint was the pricing was too much for one race with my son after buying our license- the price for one race came to $46.00!
Had a birthday party here in February. It was expensive, but worth the money. Great people working there, and our guests had a blast!!
Myself and 8 others went to Veloce for my brother's bachelor party. We reserved a time slot to do the Super Grand Prix (4 races). We had a fantastic time and had a short wait time between races. If you want to do multiple races and don't want to spend most of your day there, I highly recommend making a party reservation.
I had one slight hiccup with my experience. When we went to pay we were told the cost was $74 plus tax. However when I reserved my time slot, the pricing was $62 plus tax. The pricing I confirmed with Noelle was not honored the day of, which was extremely disappointing. However when I reached out to Noelle a couple of days later she was apologetic and was quick to refund the extra we were charged. That is what I call fantastic customer service!
The reason I gave a 4 star review and not 5 stars has nothing to do with the unexpected price jump because that was rectified quickly. My 4 star review is because the cost in general. When I booked the reservation I thought $62 was kind of pricey, but then when I found out prices increased by $12 I was floored. Based on research Veloce likely has the best indoor track in Wisconsin, which probably gives them leverage on pricing however it felt expensive. If pricing wasn't so high I could see returning with regularity.
I do expect to return at some point in the future because all in all we had a blast and the carts were fast, but with such a high price I don't anticipate my returns being frequent.
So we were so excited to go carting while family was all together and we registered and paid for the races we were told when we paid there was a very short wait. We waited for 80 mins and they still had not called our group to race. We found out that they had a private party who they gave priority to. Even though we were waiting patiently, the party got to skip us for every race they paid for. We were not told that it was going to be that long of a wait or that the party would be constantly skipping us. There was no customer service and when we asked for a reason we didn't get to race after waiting for close to a hour and a half she made excuses and said it would only be another half an hour. We were so disappointed at the service since we were the only other people there besides the party. Since we didn't want to wait for the additional half an hr, we got a refund. What we thought was going to be a great family night out turned into a horrible experience and we all went home very frustrated. Since then, we have not been back and if we do return, I hope the customer service is better than our first experience.
