Just got here at 9:17 pm. Extremely disappointed in our $250.00 room. The beds are completely sunk in, the pillows are stained and stink. Expected nice beds and pillows for the money. Checked for bugs, found none. Decided to see if the pullout bed was any better and is literally threadbare with springs protruding and disgusting stains on it. If it wasn't so late, I'd be going elsewhere. I don't have a big budget, and I'm extremely disappointed that a nice overnight for my son and I is a disaster. Every time the kids upstairs jump, our whole room shakes. And why is the floor so lumpy?
The photos and video I have, won't do this dump justice as to how bad it is. The Mellon Motel is a 5 star compared to this. I wish I didn't have to rate this at all.

Update: I spoke with management and they blew me off with a 50.00 refund. Really folks, dont stay here. We tried to use the pool, the next day and it was too small and extremely overcrowded and stinky.

The one restaurant we tried was pretty mixed. Had a good pizza but the burger was incredibly boring. Burger was barely warm cheese want melted and the fries were cold.

The water park was nice, and pretty much on par with all of the other indoor parks.

I did like that everything was connected.

Not a bad place. Was there for meetings. It seams to have gone downhill a little. Little long in the tooth. It's the Dell's so everything is over priced but these folks are pushing the envelope. The sports bar actually has some decent food and the bartenders are great. Some of the servers in the restaurant area are pretty mechanical. The water park is also in need of cleaning and maintenance. Two elevators were down while we were there. I like the place overall but it could use some paint and powder.

We stayed for two nights. We stayed in the villas this time. It has a kitchen with everything you could possibly need to make a beautiful meal. However, the beds are horrible! It doesn't smell very clean as well. We don't eat here cause the food is not great. Tasting or priced, but the people that work here are always SUPER nice! The hotel prices are pretty outrageous. We had mold in our room as well.

Our villa was nice, and we found everything we needed in the kitchen. Most of the staff was friendly. One older lifeguard appeared to be looking for children and adults to reprimand, just whistling and barking out demands constantly in the tot pool and then over to the hot tub and back again. Wait times were reasonable for a busy holiday weekend. Facility was fairly clean, but very strong chlorine smell that burned our eyes after a couple of hours in the area. Check in and check out were quick and easy.

We were looking to book a 2 bedroom condo to relax with the family for Thanksgiving. I went on the website to check for the rates and availability. Mind you I checked their website right before I called them. What the website showed me was that the rate for their 2 bedroom condos were $249/night. I have a 1 year old so I called Chula Vista to inquire about their minimum age policy to charge someone for occupancy. I talked to someone named Andy, a reservation planner, and expressed my desire to book at Chula Vista. He was helpful to answer my question about the age requirement.

After telling Andy what the rate was on their website, he said that wasn’t the rate he was seeing. He put me on hold while he went to talk to someone else to see if I can get a better rate than what the website said. After he came back, he still said he didn’t see a rate of $249/night for a 2 bedroom condo. So I went back to their site and entered my booking information again to make sure it was $249. To my surprise the rate had increased to $369/night! It increased while I was on the phone with Andy. We’ve stayed with Chula Vista in the past and never had any issues. Our kids loved the water park. But after this ordeal they’ve lost mine, my family’s, and friends’ patronage.

Water park was pretty decent for younger kids to play in, not too overcrowded. Our stay was good until the fire alarm went off at 930 with 2 toddlers, we were told by others it was a false alarm after we got everyone bundled up. 2nd fire alarms went off after midnight. Got everyone bundled up AGAIN. Smoke on the first floor, come to find out a drunk guest got a hold of a fire extinguisher. (It happens, outside of the resorts control someone makes a bad decision). Waiting in the lobby while the alarms continue to go off, the front desk has yet to tell anyone what's going on 15 minutes in No cops, no fire trucks anywhere in site. A gentleman next to us finally calls 911 and they said they've heard NOTHING!! Resort couldn't even call the fire department as hundreds of people are out of their rooms and the alarms going off. We finally went up to our rooms after the fire department arrived, the first floor was still filled from the residue from the extinguisher. Management has done nothing to attempt to make things right with their guests after this. Extremely disappointing. We will go back to Kalahari and great wolf in the future.

We only did the water park was included with our americinn. Both of us didn't expect much but we're very impressed. No line on a rainy Sunday and had 2 very original fun slides (the mat one and the tube funnel one was great) would go again after finish. Just make certain to go in knowing it is still be constructed. Not all slides are up and strong saw dust smell.

Great place both of us said we had more fun than Kalahari.

Attended a wedding and stayed over night. Room was beautiful and very spacious (2 bedroom condo room) and the wedding was spectacular (was held in the tent.) great food and service there. But our room was right next to the elevators. I don't know if that's why, but throughout the whole entire night you could hear this loud clanking sound every 30 seconds or so. Everyone in our room could hear it and barely slept. Even my 3 year old. Other than that everything was fine..

Vending machines didn't work 50% of the time. The water park is small but the rides are enjoyable. Lifeguards need to take a chill pill. Everything is pretty clean, but old. The food place in the water park served several people in our group expensive cold food. If you're looking for a place to stay, it's fine but if you're coming to the dells for the water parks, skip this one

Chula Vista is a nice, but smaller park. It's a ways off the main road, but not hard to find. Their indoor and outdoor park are both family friendly (42in height for all but one ride), easy to access (underground tunnels), and fun. The hotel rooms are simple, but adequate since you're not spending much time in them anyway. We didn't get around to trying any of the restaurants, but the concession stands had a good selection that tasted fine.

The 1st night of our stay the fire alarms went off 3 times starting at around midnight and the last time at around 5AM Friday morning. I was told the manager would call me on Friday never received a call. Friday night it continued to go off starting at 3 AM Saturday morning again I was told someone would call.. Never received a call, needless to say my Son was getting married Saturday I was going on very little Sleep over the last 2 night. Also Thursday within 15 minutes of using the water park we had items stolen I would NEVER recommend this hotel for a wedding or even to spend the night. I understand thing can happen but 2 nights in a row and to say your going to call then don't very unprofessional and unacceptable

We just stayed here this past weekend.(July -16) my daughter, her friend, and myself and absolutely loved it! When we got there we were upgraded for free to a two bedroom condo, it was spacious and beautiful, so nice surprise. The staff was very friendly and informative on everything. We can't wait to come back! So happy we had a great first experience! Thanks Chula!

We enjoyed a day at the water park with the family and some friends as part of our stay at a nearby campground. Our kids loved the water park, more the inside than the outside, but overall our families had a great time. We didn't take in any of the food options as they looked to be very pricey for us. $5 for just a hamburger is a bit much given it wasn't any kind of specialty burger. You add fries and a drink and it's pretty steep for something pretty plain.

My family and I came here for a quick mini vacation. It was so much fun! The indoor water park was nice and it wasn't overly crowded! Only concern was I felt there was too much chlorine in the water so my eyes were burning and I had to sit out a little bit every now and then. We stayed in the 2 bedroom condo and it was beautiful. We had a great view and it was clean and roomy. However one of the queen mattresses was bad (it was caved inward so that definitely needs to be changed). I also didn't like the blankets and pillows (they smelled funny). It's such a beautiful resort and it definitely needs an upgrade on the blankets and pillows. There were 2 fireplaces in the condo and a jacuzzi. Overall great vacation spot and will definitely be going back again.
