I wish I could give 0 starswent in for a high fever and back pain, Dr Hellerman sent me home after 4hrs of tests and 2 rapid covid tests. I proceeded to go back to the hospital the next 2 nights to the emergency room because I was in such bad shape. Dr Hellerman continued to give me IV’s each time and send me home until the 3rd day when my spleen was swollen and my whole abdomen was in pain. My 3rd time to the emergency room was met with a “What’s up?” by Dr Hellerman himself——literally no care or concern. Colorado mtn Medical gave me a positive covid test and started to treat me right away, by the 5th day of symptoms I was given steroids and cured essentially thanks to Colorado Mtn Medical. I now have over $3k in medical bills with Vail Health for 3 visits they did nothing and discharged me with huge billsPLEASE go to Glenwood, set up something in Eagle or go to Denver for gods sake but DO NOT GET TREATMENT HERE..

UPDATE! Do not be fooled by the “Patient Advocacy” program. They did a full “in-depth” review OF THEMSELVES, yes Vail Health investigating Vail Health, and found that my care was so adequate and that the doc “sorry they made me feel that way”. WOW JUST WOWquite obviously they would never admit wrong doing on their part or even a lower level of care so there is really no point to the Patient Review process as it is just a formality and way to pat themselves on the back after receiving negative experiences/comments. In conclusion, get a lawyer if you have to deal with them but more importantly just DONT GO HERE!

We arrived in Vail after a 2 hour drive for my husband’s post op surgery visit The staff at the door was very rude and would even allow a bathroom stop. There construction all around the hospital which makes it difficult to walk on crutches. to find another location for a rest stop. Maybe they should rethink the COVID rules. This is over the top with poor customer service.

This is the second time in 4 yrs., I have been in emergency.
This stay was 4 days of immediate attention..They are the best!
I have not seen a bill yet.
The staff attending me, was the absolute best!
Such skill, kindness; consideration to my needs was exemplary.
The first time I was rushed to the ER, was for 2hrs. determining if I had, had a heart attack.
There was such quick, reliant attention to my needs.
I have never been frightened, agitated or uncomfortable in their care.
My continued experiences in this facility has been impressive.

I was admitted there yesterday for back and nerve pain and everyone, from the paramedics, to the nurses, and the doctors were incredibly helpful and professional. I was well taken care of. I highly recommend Vail Health Hospital.

Went in for a migraine, they brought me into get a MRI, I told them I didn't have much money and that I wasn't interested in getting an MRI if my insurance didn't cover it. They brought me in without checking with my insurance first and charged me an arm and a leg for it. In the end the only info they had to give to me was that I had a migraine. WOW, I would have never guessed! Still have no insight on why i get them, how to prevent them, or even suggestions for medications that i could look into.

I was making payments for getting a cyst removed from here as well. Which the doctor had horrible bed side manners. When the doctor came in, I was already nervous because they were going to have to use a knife to do the operation. He comes up to me we are talking about the cyst and he asks, "Well what would you like me to do?" UMMMM, IDK YOU'RE THE DOCTOR! They ended up turning it into collections after I had called them and told them my issue. NEVER GOING BACK.

I was so nervous going in for blood work. The minute I arrived I was greeted by a gentleman who kindly showed me exactly where to park and where to go when I entered the building. From there, Robert in Admissions helped get everything setup for me within 5 minutes. Going straight to my appointment I was greeted by Therese and David in the Lab and they were extremely helpful. David was calming and made light of tests, which brought me to ease. I HIGHLY recommend Vail Valley Medical Center for anything you need. You won't get lost and you'll be greeted around every corner with customer service and bedside manner at its finest.

Great hospital, Dr. Viola did an amazing job of fixing a compound fracture of my radius and ulna from a downhill mountain biking crash. Ended up here for 10 days due to complications from surgery. Nurses were extremely friendly, helpful, and understanding. Patrick the technician was the coolest guy and great at his job. But wait, the best part of this hospital is the FOOD! It was soo good, the French toast and quesadillas were to die for! Honestly for being stuck in the hospital for 10 days it was a pretty painless experience.

Spent 13 hours in ER. Waiting over 6 hours to hear results of an MRI that they didn't have anyone available to read. Ski injury made it impossible for my husband to walk and we had to wait 5 days before any one actually looked at his leg ( though they did treat other less severe injuries. ) He was released from hospital without a wheelchair no warning and no doctor ever actually treating the leg. (Though they brought several sets of crutches that he couldn't use. )
The run around between the hospital and Stedman Clinic about who is responsible for what allows them to avoid truly helping the patients.
The patient advocacy follow through is a joke.
The surgeons are amazing though and the only positive of our entire experience.
If you have a choice in care, head to Mayo where there are also wonderful surgeons as well as an amazing staff, excellent care and great patient communication.

A couple years ago I went here for a sleep study. Of course most of the doctors in the area were convinced someone who was lean and fit couldn't have sleep apnea.
I went in the bed was so small my feet hung off 6 inches, the room was extremely uncomfortable and bright and the weird guy kept going to the bathroom all night and when he flushed it was about as loud as a train horn.
I slept maybe an hour from about 4am to 5am. They said I slept soundly all night.

A few years later I have had 2 sleep studies each that confirm I am suffocating badly in my sleep. I remember waking up 4 or 5 times a night suffocating, but the study, both through ekg and video confirms I wake up 60 times or more an hour. Yeah, that's every minute.

I probably have severe irreversible heart damage and other medical problems as well as losing jobs, losing friends, injuries, depression and lost opportunities.

My advice would be to drive all the way to Denver and stay away from this place like your life depends on it.

I received terrible unacceptable treatment. The staff was not attentive, treated me with no compassion. The guys that were staffed on 4/3/17 overnight shift were more concerned about talking about the different mini vans & basically forced me leave even though I was clearly still sick. Offered no additional help. I was also asked by the MD if I was financially wealthy or had someone wealthy that was taking care if me WTF does that question have to do with me seeking medical treatment. I have medical insurance, which I feel I was discriminated against. I am extremely disappointed with this ER. Experience. I have been receiving care by Vail Valley Hospital for years including multiple surgeries. I am disappointed in the non professional services I received. I guess with the recent on going construction they forgot that real people come there for Health care. I didn't receive a follow-up call. I called Sara the ER director & of course no response from her. I left the hospital in the same condition I arrived n by ambulance. I clearly was not in any condition to leave the hospital. The guy nurse was rude, barely got any water to drink. When I asked if I could use the restroom, this nurse was rude & told me to stand up & open my eyes or this isn't going to work! WTF! I could not have been more cooperative & very nice. I was told to leave before next shift, I had a fever, could barely comprende things & wasn't very stable on my feet. I remember just tearing out of the the room but didn't know how to get out just started opening doors ended up in the garage. Not one staff member offered to help me nor properly discharge me like the policy & procedures state.

I wish I could rate this place as "zero" stars. It took me over 3 months to get anyone to communicate back with me from their billing office. That is purely unacceptable and just shows how much they don't care about customer service or professionalism. Thank God Colorado Mountain Medical is in the mix in Avon now. I would rather die than give these people another penny.

I am going to demonstrate how liberal ideal INCREASE EDUCATION COST AND LOWER HEALTHCARE STANDARDS. Shortly after federal subsidies were enacted for student loans from the Obama administration the newly formed Council of colleges for acupuncture and oriental medicine began to charge students extra to fund their non profit organization. Acupuncture as an industry has taken money for federal subsidies that were meant to better the educations of all. Did they use this money to increase their standards as an industry? Hell no!!! They used this money to marginalize chronically ill patients by trying to prevent them from being able to access healthcare. That is not "Pink" its a little farther south on the color spectrum. Bit of a SKID MARK BROWN.

The Physician's Assistant at the Edwards Walk-in Clinic was great at listening to my symptoms and diagnosing my sinus infection. My wait was minimal and everyone was compassionate and thorough. Filling my prescription at the pharmacy in the building took less than 10 minutes! Definitely recommend this local option.
