Parking garage is a complete rip off! We stayed an hour and a half and they charged $30. Next time we were in and out thinking we could beat their half hour free but missed it by 3 min. Another $20. Worst parking in Vail Colorado by far by both price and space available. Not to mention it was absolutely dead in the village the first couple days of Dec.

Lots of good restaurant choices and family atmosphere in the park. Unfortunately, during the of season the fireplaces in the seating area are not running, so staying out after dark gets quite chilly.

I'm sure the lodge and housing is fantastic, the parking on the other hand is incredibly deceptive. There are several "free parking" signs right out front next to their green lit up "open" sign. However these are for the vail public Parking which is a few blocks down. They do in fact list the prices after you're already inside the garage, but at the very top is the word "free" again affirming the signs. Of course these are only on if the garage is functioning properly and a crowd of us were duped into getting trapped in the garage when the gates were open during a period of malfunction. Not to worry, everything was working fine when we tried to leave (apart from their customer service), except without a parking stub we had to pay a lost ticket fee of $60! Obviously it's Vail, where no one should expect "free" anything, it is however very shady and underhanded.
