The location of the place is great, and the rooms are nice and clean. There were some small worries though. Right away, no one was at the front desk when we arrived but there was a sign to either ring a bell or call a phone number in such a case. No one answered the bell and the phone number went straight to voicemail. To be fair I should have seen that coming because no one answered either of the two times I called the day prior to our arrival either. The guy who did come to the desk seemed like a good guy but quite unwelcoming and said he couldn't find our reservation, and then said he found it but didn't have a room ready because we were too early for check-in and should come back later (we were definitely early though). When we did get checked in we got two key cards, one worked and one didn't, and the next day neither worked. And neither worked on the side door to the building at any point. So if we didn't decide to check our key card before we left the second day would someone have answered the phone at 11 when we got back or would we have gotten a voicemail again? I'm now worried to see what we'll be charged for these rooms considering our reservation may not have been recorded that well.

We have been patrons of the Alpine Lodge for a few years, 6-12 times each year. We absolutely love the hospitality and generousity of this crew. Wes and Danielle have contributed to the most excellent service we have received since finding this hidden gem. Clean rooms, wonderful location, highly recommended service and hospitality. We will continue to stay here in and out and support them through every step of the way. So happy we can contribute to the local community here in town!!

If you're looking to get on the slopes at Keystone and just be able to walk right across the street to a lift than this place is yours. If you're looking for the Ritz-Carlton then this place is not for you when I ride at Keystone I'm looking for convenience and not have to drive from Denver and back everyday this place did just perfectly for me. Don't expect the world but the convenience is amazing prices are awesome.

In keeping with others reviews, you get what you pay for. It’s not that this is a particularly bad hotel, but it is definitely not a particularly good hotel. Having no staff there when I checked out at 6:45 this morning, it was apparent to me that no one was there at all overnight. I consider that a bit of an issue. I understand they have cameras, but that doesn’t make me feel any better as you don’t know that anyone’s actually monitoring them.

NEW OWNERSHIPand it shows. To be fair, this was our first visit this season. We immediately noticed a difference in reception, but figured it was just a new employee. The room was the same as years past. Breakfast is where the difference really showed. It was a mess. Dirty counters, no plates, and very little food left when we went @ 7:00. I hope the new owner is just adjusting, but fear our reliable, clean and reasonable accommodations are a thing of the past.

The rooms are nice and comfortable. The staff is friendly and helpful but way over worked. Maintenance appears to be an issue. The hot tub was repaired but only lasted one night and was closed again. There is a nice breakfast available including begells with cream cheese.

The hotel itself was mostly decent, save for a few fairly big issues. It was clean and there were no problems with service other than the glaringly issue I'll get to. The breakfast wasn't amazing, but it was fine for being free. Now onto the issues The mattress on the top bunk is really too tall for the bed, so there isn't much by way of a rail to keep kids from rolling out. Fortunately, I saw the possibility of my younger son falling out of the lower bunk, so we had pushed the couch next to the bed in case he fell out. As such it also caught my older son when he fell out of the top bunk, likely keeping him from being seriously injured. But really, that's small potatoes compared to the bigger issue. Another group staying very close to our room spent the night fighting. And I don't mean yelling. I mean we were able to discern that a very nasty man was hitting either an adolescent boy or a woman, there was crying, and yelling and incessant banging. There was talk to meth being around a baby. The police were called and seemed to take over an hour to get there. We tried to call the front desk but apparently there are no hotel staff that stay there overnight, so no way to reach anyone. Except to go down to the front desk and supposedly there is a phone you can use to call someone. That is if you feel safe leaving your room with someone who clearly has no problems with hitting other people so close to you - and again, I had kids in my room. The oldest of which was privy to the ruckus, after having fallen out of bed. There are no phones in the room either, so should your cell phone battery die, and a situation such as this arise, you will be completely out of luck. I understand situations like this are I'm sure rare, and realistically out of the owners control. But it is at best short sighted to leave guests in a situation like this, if not potentially extremely dangerous. Everything else was decent, and had it not been for those two circumstances, we likely would have felt much differently about our stay. My best hope is that management reads this and takes steps to address the problem.

Comfortable and decent lodge..kept clean despite its old look. Staff are friendly and helpful. The breakfast options are limited to a small corner in the lobby. Located very close to the conference centre and keystone adventure centre with frequent free buses to catch from just down the road. A Small store joint and subway are right next to this lodge.

first off you get what you pay for. No phone in room. No cable TV. No real breakfast just store muffins and bagels. Coffee was brewed in a pot my grandmother would use. Room was clean but very dated with a bed much harder then most hotels I have been to. Staff runs hot and cold. One person supper nice another far from it. Would I stay here again, no but I also will not be coming to this part of the state again. Way to country and remote for me. If you like backpacking , river raffling or skiing all day then I would say this is the place for you as you will not be in your room for long and when you are you will be to tried to notice its faults.

The price was good, and the outside view was better. There was an unusual smell that made it hard to breathe particularly at the high altitude. The guy at front desk was overly helpful.

You get what you pay for. Room keys didn't work after receiving them, in-room hair dryer didn't work, ice machine didn't work, and the sauna/hot tub had been closed for over a month for "maintenance and cleaning. Good if you just need a bed for a night for cheap, that's about it.

Location was off the beaten path, which resulted in some white knuckle driving but beautiful views. The hotel itself was in a very nice area near a mountain range. The room was very clean and offered several extra amenities (area for skis, refrigerator). The staff was very courteous.

Poor management and rude staff. Small rooms as well. After I left a negative review on Trip Advisor, the owner of the hotel spammed my phone (4 calls in an hour) trying to get in contact with me. He bribed me with a free nights stay if I agreed to delete my Trip Advisor review. I agreed to do so. He said he would send me a voucher for the free night via email. I never received that voucher. In retrospect, I probably wouldn't even have used the non-existent voucher because of how poor of an experience I had the first time. Bribing customers to delete their honest reviews are some very questionable, unethical business practices. Do not stay here.
