Really nice ski resort. Great location, close to everything. Rooms were clean and everything was great.
Swanky well appointed condos with everything you need for a successful vacation. Impressive TV and sound systems in each condo! Huge bathrooms as well.
The views!!! As a Wedding Planner this venue is spectacular! Great grand lawn for ceremonies right next to Vail and the Gore Creek. Pictures are flawless, the staff is superb, and the rooms are super nice! I love working with this staff!
Top notch facility. Everything was high quality and the staff was great.
Absolutely beautiful and classy. I need to cone back for winter season to see it at full capacity. Most beautiful place I've been in years.
Wonderful location, and nice amenities. Friendly staff. I wasn't crazy about the condo we stayed in - the kitchen wasn't very practical, and we try to cook. Otherwise, the place was cozy. We'd definitely recommend it!
Vail is a beautiful place, and Lion Square doesn't break the mold. The rooms are all unique, but the front desk was willing to work with us to get us into a room that fit out needs. Very clean, good service, and an absolutely wonderful location right at the base of the gondola!
I loved how everything was in very good condition and how the sheets smelled wonderful. But the rooms need more toletries.
The rooms are amazing and the location is even better!!! The staff is extremely friendly, especially Oscar the bellman. There was a slight hiccup when we first arrived regarding early check-in. Andrew at the front desk did everything he could to fix the issue and got us into our room right away. Thank you Andrew and Lions Square Lodge.
Staff were very warm and friendly but there are a few issues. No A/C in the hotel rooms and they are very small. The biggest disappointment was the quality of the bed, it was very tired and clearly needed to be replaced.
My Property was damaged due to negligence. I bought a new snowboard 2 days ago and after a day of use, I checked my brand new snowboard to the hotel's ski-valet service. To my surprise I came back for my board 2 days later and found my board scratched and the bindings had been moved, somebody had definitely used my board the day before without my permission and had damaged it. When you turn in your skis to the valet they give you a ticket with a number, however with snowboards no tickets are given, meaning any person, hotel guest or not, can just walk up to the rack and take any snowboard. When notifying the manager about this issue he only offered a tune up for my board($40) which would not repair the superficial scratches found on my board, a board I paid $450 for 2 days ago. Needles to say, I noticed the bindings had been moved once I was at the top of the mountain, their negligence to control who is taking what snowboard could have caused me a trip to the hospital if I wouldn't have been able to control the board that had been set up the other way around without my permission.
Staying at the Lion Square is all about the location. Being directly next to the gondola is the reason this hotel has its value. Other than that, the service is friendly, but no room service or English speaking housekeeping. The rooms are small with few outlets for charging, and in the room I stayed in, the ski shop was directly below us, so I could hear the rumbling bass of their speakers while I was trying to sleep. Only one restaurant in the hotel, pool is standard, but the hot tubs are pretty nice. Again I will reiterate that the location is what you're paying for. If you are okay with staying in just a standard hotel, this is perfect purely based on the location.
