It's a nice and comfortable place, lobby has cozy couches and you can stay thrre for a long time just talking and enjoying free diff types of coffee or hot cocoa, also has table games even games for kids.
Rooms are good, with tv and tube, everything is clean and with amenities. If something doesn't work, they immediately fix it. In the same are there are some stores and restaurants and a skating area so you never get bored.

Really enjoyed our stay at the Viking Lodge! It is nearby to restaurants, shopping, and tons of other goodies. Well worth the price tag :)

The service is great. Building is dated but cozy. Pricing is reasonable. It's right next to a bus stop that takes you to Winter Park.

If you're expecting a modern hotel/lodge experience, this isn't the place for you. Our stay has been great. There is a ski shop on site as well as an ice cream shop. Plenty of parking, a shuttle service that's pretty regular for the ski lifts. Lots of old charm. The loft rooms are great for families. Shopping, restaurants and pubs are within walking distance. Rooms and decor are old, like 80's paneling old. 20" tube TV in our room lol. Mountain views from just about every room. The staff has been wonderful. Very polite and helpful. Almost like staying at a friend's home. I would definitely stay here again. If you want a great central location for your stay and don't mind the rustic feel of a 60 year lodge this is it.

The owner is a great guy. He is working hard to get his Inn up to date on repairs. He purchased it about a year and a half ago and he says it was pretty run down at that time

If you want to feel like a Viking - go ahead. Small dirty room, leaking roof, soundproof to the point you can hear a sneeze from the room next door TV is so ancient that it deserves a place in the museum, heating is a disaster waiting to happen. Location is good but it's not worth it. We ran across the street - Valley Hi motel is very nice.

So this is one of the cheapest places to stay in Winter Park, but you get what you pay for. The water was turned off for most of the day one of the days we were here (and it wasn't during lift hours either). There was loud construction going on. Their website said they had a hot tub, but they don't. There was essentially never anyone at the front desk.

That all said, if you're on a budget they're super cheap and the location is awesome.

Clean and friendly. Great location of you want to stay away from the resort. Could do with some updates, but if you just want a place to sleep it'll do well enough.

Cozy and quaint place, perfect for a ski trip. Lobby offers free coffee and hot chocolate with a gas fireplace and board games. Note, however, that their website claims they have a hot tub when in fact they do not.
