If you are a Marriott regular and have come to expect the level of service that Marriott is known for then you will not want to stay here. From the moment you check there will be a growing anticipation for your departure. Of the 5 different Marriott properties in Columbia at which I have stayed in the last 2 years this is the only one that I would not recommend.
Nice clean rooms for a good value.continential breakfast not so good
Although I did not stay the night here, my parents had a hotel room here and it was pretty nice. The hotel staff were friendly, greeted me as i walked in and said goodbye as I left. I believe they have a continental breakfast here. Close to ft Jackson and the VA. Many restaurant choices. But, I did walk in dog poo without knowing and it was all on my shoe and in my car and somehow on my hand. Can't fault that on the hotel though. My mom said she paid $35 a night with a discount.
The waffle mix was so thick that they were inedible. The room was fine. Proximity to fort Jackson was nice. It was hard to get out of the road though because there's a lot of traffic. Employees were very helpful and pleasant
Great room with a full kitchen. We stayed one night as we were driving through the state, but will definitely consider booking longer if we end up back in the city. The staff was very friendly and gave us restaurant ideas that were close by. The room and hotel were clean.
Great Friendly Polite Staff!!!! Super Clean Room, Nice warm Breakfast Staff treated our Family like Family..Made our stay in South Carolina that much better, If we are in this area again we will definitely stay here!!
I can't say enough about this place!!!!! Nick, Kim, Josh, and Britney (the hotels AMAZING staff) are always so helpful and professional. I can only imagine how busy they are with the storm evacuees looking for a safe place to stay. If I could give this place 10 stars would. This is my home away from home and as a member of the local military unit I'm so thankful for the staff here.
Just checked in and I'm already impressed. Has been renovated. Tastefully decorated. Nice kitchenette. Comfortable sitting area with desk. Bathroom clean. Bed comfortable. Highly recommend.
We stayed here as a pass-through for one night. We were made to feel like it was home from the moment we arrived. Staff including Kim and Erika were friendly and helpful and the room and amenities met all of our needs and then some. The breakfast buffet was hearty with a good variety of food and drink options. The on-site fitness center was just the right size too.
8:45am, July 3, 2017, room 411. Just stepped out of a freezing cold shower. Unacceptable. I appreciate all the amenities that the hotel has, but no hot water is an automatic 1 star. It's not even a business day. There is no way everyone in the entire hotel took a shower at the same time.
Also, the elevator squeaks loudly and seems to be adjusting all the time and makes a thud at the bottom and top. Very scary.
I hate to leave a bad review, because the bed was nice and there was lots of amenities, and the AC was cold, too.
I will rescind this review is the front desk gives me a reasonable explanation for this problem.
Inexpensive suite rooms. Clean, spacious, comfortable room with all the conveniences. This hotel is close the interstate.
Nice accommodations. The rooms were clean. The breakfast was decent.
My in-laws and I were in town for my husband's Graduation from BCT at Fort Jackson and the service and space in the suite was high quality and perfect. The ladies at the front desk helped us with local food spots and directions across town. Great hotel.
