Hotel was nice. The shower head is short for anyone over 5' 7".
Pretty nice rooms for a decent price. Were a few ladybugs hanging about, but they didn't really bother me. The fitness room was pretty bad. There were only two machines and the treadmill didn't seem to work.
Hotel lobby was clean, staff was friendly and very knowledgeable, and my room was everything I needed it to be. Had an awesome experience. I would definitely recommend to others.
The place has not been cleaned very well at all. To expensive for the little room. The mattress is old and worn out. The mini pull out couch is a joke. The bathroom looks like its the only thing that's cleaned. The air conditioner puts out a bad smell. You can hear every toilet flush on that floor. The staff seems nice
I would just like to say many thanks to Manager Terrance Langley and his complete staff at the Holiday Inn Express and Suites at 120 Blythewood Columbia SC. You guys were Awesome!! From the moment my daughter and I walked through your doors we were greeted with your welcoming smiles. Even through the frustration of the evacuation process due to Hurricane Irmma, you and your staff were calm, friendly and very attentive to all our needs as well as your other guest!! Our hats go off to you all and many, many thanks for your warm and gracious hospitality!! (Housekeeping,..keep up the Job!!) You will definitely be one of our places to lay our heads whenever we're in your neighborhood!! So do stop by and check them out. The beds are so comfortable and the Hotel overall is Pleasant and Clean! Thanks again Mr. Langley, You made an unpleasant moment very relaxing!!! The Randles
I would like to applaud the entire staff for the wonderful job accommodating all the evacuees! They were very attentive and polite. Thank you for making this experience manageable.
Hotel and rooms are very clean. Staff has been extremely helpful and nice. Complementary breakfast has variety and is tasty. Had the room for 2 nights for the solar eclipse. Wifi worked great. Hotel is in walkimg distance to a couple restaurants.
This is honestly the single worst hotel I've stayed in. First, the wifi barely works - it literally took my brand new laptop 25 minutes to finally connect, and even then it was in-and-out at best. Second, the shower head in my room is so short you'd literally have to be 5 ft tall or shorted to fit under it. I'm not even that tall myself; it was ridiculous. Lastly, the f---ing air conditioning doesn't even work. I have to set to SIXTY (60) degrees and I'm sitting in my room literally sweating. You could not pay me to stay here again.
Nice hotel. Tucked off of the main road a bit, but quick access to HWY 77. Rooms were clean and the beds decently comfortable.
Great hotel and good location. best nbq around is walking distance away at Doko Smoke. The hotel staff are amazing.
Stopped here at 2am on our way home from vacation to get a break from driving. It was a spot taneous thing. Location was easy to spot from the highway. Receptionist was very friendly and helpful. We booked a suite with 2 queens (all they had left). Room seemed clean, but we really just went right to bed and got back on the road first thing in the morning. The decor was updated and looked recently remodled. The place was quiet and they accommodated us with a fold up crib for the little one. Couch bed didn't have any sheets, and I'm sure we could have requested some, but didn't technically need to use it so we didn't. Breakfast was hot and the kids enjoyed it. I've definitely stayed in nicer hotels and nicer holiday inns so I'd give this an average. I wasn't worried about creepy crawlies, but I wouldn't go out of my way to come back.
First the bad: Carpet frayed, shower curtain rod falling down, toe kick at base of window totally falling apart from condensation on window and sofa bed suitable only for children.
The good: very hospitable and friendly staff, hvac works very well, room clean and linens fresh, keurig coffee and plenty of storage space.
We only stayed for one night and hotel was full (No Vacancy Sign on door) but parking was still available. Fast food and convenience stores right around the corner. There was the obvious noise problems with kids and people in the hallway at night but in today's age of inconsiderate and rude manners it wasn't all that bad. (Why anyone would allow a child to sleep on a coffee table in the lobby is beyond me!) There were no bad smells and the free breakfast was at least edible and fresh if not terribly palatable. Bathroom was clean and shower had adequate pressure even on the fourth floor. The tree line between the interstate and the hotel kept traffic noise at bay and $180 for a 3 bed suite was acceptable for the accommodations provided.
Overall acceptable but nothing to brag about, would stay here again if needed.
