A bookstore and cool little restaurant? Unheard of. Got nice seats outside in April, a nice reprieve from what had been a long Chicago winter. The two of us showed up on a motorcycle ride on a nice April day. The homemade soup was fantastic and my sandwich, although a bit foofy, was great.

I got the ham and cheese melt. Service is top-notch and so is the food

This place is the cutest! They have a library attached and the food is delicious! They don't have a large selection of food and the quantity of it I frown upon slightly, but I eat a ton so disregard my opinion unless you're a hefty eater, as I am. The coffee is exquisite and the service is great there! They offer daily specials all the time. This place truly shines as a tea or coffee house to just sit and eat a bit while talking with friends and family. The atmosphere it's really relaxed as well

First time eating at this place. It was great. Menu was simple with the choice of hot or cold sandwiches and salads. The 6 people in my party all ordered different items from the menu and we all enjoyed them. Its small and quaint. It's what every cafe should be.

Quality good food. I hate to recommend it because more will come and I want it for me. Love this place.

The best of both worlds ! Town House Cafe delightfully feeds the body and Town House Books feeds the mind. I met a friend for lunch and our soup and quiche were delicious! We lunched on the outside patio which was an added pleasure. Then found several selections of books ! I will definitely be regular guest here! Thank you !

The small hummus place is delicious and so filling, and the ginger peach tea was so comforting. Seriously the hummus and the toast it came with absolutely made my day. Highly recommend for a bite for lunch, and then browse the bookstore connected to it!

Service was okay and despite the hummus sandwich having hummus and olives and all sorts of ingredients that should give you a punch of flavor, the Sandwich was flavorless. Chips are not fresh, they're out from a bag so it's not a big deal. Got the red wine sangria and that was good. It was okay overall.

Wonderful little gem of StTC. Food is always amazing for everything on the menu from the baked goods to the sandwiches. Worth every visit you can make!

I have been a regular at this restaurant for more than five years. . I have yet to have anything but the best lunch I can describe. Food is home cooked. The ingredients are all fresh and the entrees made to order. They also have wonderful outdoor seating in the spring and summer. It's also located within walking distance of the Fox River Trail for walking and biking.

If you're in the area and want a great Cafe meal or espresso drink, this is the place to go. Very cute dining area and wonderful service. If you need to wait for a table, stroll through the attached book store.

Fresh food at reasonable prices and steps from shopping in St. Charles. Food is delicious and great deserts. Atmosphere is smart but not pretentious. Small drink menu but enough to pair the food. Wait staff know their business and are very friendly.

My work orders takeout from here quite a bit. This was my first time eating from this place. It was excellent. I ordered the grilled cheese. I loved the veggie chips. Everyone told me I need to go to the actual place too because it's really cute. I can't wait to go. I will say that my sandwich was a little heavy on the onions.
