  Thom is the best Comic Book dealer in Elgin and surrounding area. In business 35+ years, Thom has a great selection of old & new comics, sf/fantasy/horror pb & hc books, magazines, cards & collectibles. Stop in and you will find many rare & hard to find items you won't find elsewhere at very reasonable prices. Excellent all around

  My cousin was in town and we were looking for something to do on a rainy day. He loves comic books so we had to check this place out. I am not into comics so this review comes from a non-consumer perspective. Word is it has been around forever, which I appreciate. It was fun browsing around. I even picked up some vintage horror magazines and an obscure comic as gifts. My cousin also appeared to enjoy himself and said he could have spent hours there.

  I used to shop there all the time when it was downtown. I haven't been back in Elgin in a long time but I'm looking at coming back to visit when the Chicago Cubs go to the World Series.

  I love this place. Thom has had a shop forever. When I was little I used to go to his shop on Douglas Street. He is truly passionate about comics and vintage illustration. I bought a Crumb poster from him 20 plus years ago and I still have it. Thanks Thom for always having a quaint little badass store brother.
