The Westin is at a very convenient location for many as it is near Grand Central. Upon walking in, you cant help but notice the decor instantly creating a sophisticates sort of atmosphere. Although I was there only for a few hours for a professional event, it would not be far fetched to assume the rooms being of high quality as well. The service was very professional, hospitable, and efficient. I did manage to have a taste of the breakfast buffet provided and it was definitely a level above other hotel breakfasts that I have had in the past. Overall, just from a few hours of experience, I would already recommend others to give this place a try.

Great location, away from the hustle and bustle of times square, Rockefeller center etc But not too far. Still within walking distance. Clean rooms. Friendly staff. Excellent service. 2nd time staying at this particular Westin and will return.

Stayed over weekend w/ valet. Close enough walk to Bryant park, Rockefeller center, and Times square without the noise of the West side. We had 4 Rooms including the presidential suite All were consistently clean and tidy. Room service took only 15-20 minutes on average. Overall nice hotel which is why we keep coming back.

If anyone is looking for a great deal on hotels you can check it out on HotelRaven. com Booked a room on there and they had the best rates around

Great hotel in a great location. The lobby is spacious and clean, the front desk staff very welcoming and helpful. The rooms are spacious and very clean with good quality fixtures and fittings. There are five lifts which mean you can get to your floor quickly. All in all excellent. The best place I have stayed at in New York so far. The only negative us the price of items in the mini bar, but of course, you are not compelled to buy these. Excellent

Quite a good and comfortable hotel. Close proximity to Grand Central Station, about 1 block away. The room is clean and comfortable. The front desk and chambermaids are friendly. The only down side, any parcel received via delivery they the concierge, will incur charges to the room ranging from USD 5 - 10 depending on the parcel size and probably weight. Other than that, all else is fine.

Very nice hotel. I will preface the review with the comment that I didn't stay as an overnight guest at the hotel. I've only been there in social or professional situations. The best thing about the hotel is probably the location, which is central and convenient from many aspects. It's probably great for business and tourists. A close relation stayed at the hotel and found it comfortable and convenient.

As a platinum member of spg, the Westin has taken great care of me. Got a nice upgrade to a king suite. They're very efficient with any requests made. I've stayed there several times before and have never had an issue with customer service or cleanliness.

We stayed for 2 nights. We got there early (11am) and they waved the early check in few but they gave us a king sized bed with a pull out couch. These was no big deal as the kids loved the couch/bed. I am sure if we checked in later we would have gotten the 2 queen beds that we booked. The staff was amazing, tended to our every need. The concierge service helped us find what we could to do in nyc with a 6 and 8 year old. They even let me email a document I needed to then so I didn't have to pay a fee to use the computers there to print it out. The house keeping was great and check out was a breeze. We didn't get to dine at the restaurant because it was out of our price range and the little ones probably wouldn't do well at a the place.

Location of hotel is very convenient. Times Square , Grand Central, Chrysler building are at walkable distance. The good thing that we liked is after checking out you can keep luggage with them till late evening. We were in a double bed room. We felt that the beds are very small for two people. Two adults cannot sleep on one bed.

Rooms were good. They either have double beds or a king. There aren't any good views because there are other tall buildings and there's construction. Beds were very comfy. They don't have a club lounge for those who are platinum members. But still good walking distance to places with good food.

Westin branding, not Westin quality. The age of the hotel is evident. Engineering is playing whack-a-mole with issues as they pop up. Two weeks ago, no hot water for the top 20 floors. This week, stuck in the elevator and the call button only sort of works in that you can almost hear them over a noisy statically line but they can't hear you. We had to wave to a camera to acknowledge that we could hear them saying that they called the elevator company. We eventually pried the doors open and jumped out as we were almost even with a floor. Zero follow up afterward.

The rooms are fine but that's all. The hallway lights are so bright the room never gets close to dark. The clocks are super bright with no dimmer option so you have to cover with a pillow. Street noise is significant even in the top floor rooms.

Fantastic rooms, comfortable clean and quiet. Of course when the fire department comes roaring down the street nothing can stop that noise.

Great service at concierge and front desk. Clean well equipped gym. Great coffee at the LCL at the front desk, but coffee a little pricey.

I had the best view from my room.

The room we stayed in was nothing to write home about, and the housekeeping did the bare minimum, nothing like the thorough service we're used to indicate SA.
The only reason I'm rating it a 5 is because of the concierge service. The night before check out, I forgot my phone in one of the NYC cabs and the gentleman at the concierge was amazing. I reported this to him, luckily I had a slip, and by morning when checking out he had found my phone. Now that was absolutely amazing.
