This place is very educational and entertaining. I loved seeing the live turtles and learning about what puts them in danger. Yes, the price is a little steep but as a 501c I have no problem paying it to help fund their awesome programs. You need a reservation or you might not get on a tour. Luckily we came at a slow time and hopped on a tour the next hour.

The front section has interesting displays, but to get into the actual turtle hospital you *need* to go on a guided tour. That means that you may not be able to just show up and hope to see anything Especially if you go at the end of the day (when there might not be more tours available). You need to make a reservation in advance!

Our daughter Parker (5 yrs old) began her love affair with sea turtles on her first trip to the turtle hospital when she was 4 yrs old. We vacation in Marathon annually and the Turtle Hospital is always at the top of her list. This year we went 3 times! The staff are incredibly informative, kind, and generous with their time. We’ve listened to tours from Megan, Kate and Marian. You might think that once you’ve done the tour once you’ve heard it all, but each time we do the tour we learn something new!

Thank you to all of you for your time, and keep up the great work!

We can’t wait to return next year!

Such an awesome experience to see and learn about sea turtles a little pricey, but such is life in the keys. A great place to stop on your way through the keys and it's all for a good cause!

What cool experience! This is a turtle rescue and rehabilitation center. They have a lot of turtles that you can view and touch. Lots of great information on the tour. We will go back next time were are in the area.

A wonderful place to go. Kids would love to see the turtles and see how they're cared for. Our guide was knowledgeable and friendly. She was also funny. It's well worth the price of admission.

The turtle hospital was really amazing. We went as a family and everyone loved it and felt it was well worth the price to visit. It goes towards a great cause and you have a chance to be up close to the sea turtles and feed them too. They start with an information portion (the speaker had a thick accent and was a bit hard to understand, admittedly) then they take you behind the scenes in a way I haven't experienced at any other aquarium before. You see and learn so much first hand. No matter what part of the keys you stay you absolutely must visit this place! PS, these photos are not zoomed, you're that close!

Excellent family education about life and rescue of Sea Turtles. Admission fee covers treatment and care for the sea turtles that are residence and patience there. For a little more than the admission price you cam adopt a sea turtles or become a member. The gift shop has quality novelty items to purchase to remind to of the wonderful time you had there and how important it is to take care of our sea life and the ocean environment.

If you like sea turtles, the ocean and the earth you will love this place! Definitely call the day before and make a reservation. Very knowledgeable and friendly tour guide (we had Emily). It was a great time, you get up close and personal to the turtles and learn a lot about sea turtles in general! Highly recommend this place, will probably go back if ever in Marathon again!

When we came to the keys, this wasn't on our list of things we wanted to do. However,we found ourselves with a free afternoon and called to make reservations. They were booked for the entire day! We figured if it was that popular we'd better make room for it in our schedule, so we booked for a tour the next day. It turned out to be one of our favorite places and one we will return to every time we are here! The tour brings your through all of the turtles they have there, which includes some that have recently been brought in and some that are permanent residents. You learn about each turtle specifically, including what they were brought in for, how they are being treated and what their prognosis is. You can tell that everyone here genuinely cares for these turtles. At the end you even get to feed the permanent residents. Also I love that the admission money goes straight towards helping these animals.

My most favorite place in the Keys! I love what they do for the turtles. These pictures are from one of my visits to the Turtle Hospital, the others are from a turtle release. I highly recommend going to one of those if they have one when you visit the Keys or when you can take some time from work. They are doing so much to protect the population of endangered animals and bringing awareness to how we have such an effect on the ocean and all it's creatures.

We made a reservation for 9 am based on the website's recommendation. I assumed that the group size would be limited so that people could hear, see, and move around easily. But there were a LOT of us trying to move around cramped spaces. Also, this is not the best attraction for toddlers

Our guide was obviously very passionate about turtles and had a LOT of information. Bordering on too much information. She was losing the crowd throughout her presentation.

Don't get me wrong- I was happy to spend the $$ on admission because I could see it's going to a good cause. And I imagine in the hands of a different guide I might be raving instead of somewhat indifferent.

It's great to see people doing good things. It is surprising to see that Florida hasn't banned plastic bags yet when so many of our marine friends are affected by them (bags floating in water).

The turtle hospital has their work cut out for them, and it seems like there's no way to stop turtles from being hit by boats.

Nice gift shop. Thanks to the people who work there.
