It is older but it was clean and right on the beach.. I would go back there.

I read reviews,I love reviews,but what I love more is Reality The Keys are a No Frills,gig,if your looking for the Ritz Carlton turn around at the gravel /sand drivewayBring your chill side and just RELAX ..I HAD A GREAT TIME AT YELLOWTAIL ..AND YES IT WAS EXACTLY WHAT THE FLORIDA KEYS IS ALL ABOUT 🌴🍻☉🌠☄☄😎😎

Dirty room, mildew and mold visible, sheets had hairs in them, hot water was not in the basic room rate, etc. Read the reviews but stayed here anyway because I figured it could not be that bad. It was everything horrible the reviews say and worse. About the only redeeming quality of the place is that the front desk staff was nicewhile telling me I couldn't get a refund because of the things listed above. His retort was that people like this hotel and stay here multiple times. So many other options nearby at this price point or better. Don't be fooled into booking at this place!

Manager was nice when I checked in and very friendly. However, the room was atrocious. The entire place is really old and basically falling apart. The AC in the room was filthy and I had to lean the vents with a towel because dust was caked on it. Sheets had stains on them, and there was a bunch of hair in the sheets. The room was moldy and humid. AC doesn't do much. I don't think the place was cleaned thoroughly since constructed. Shelving and closets were nasty. It was just beyond dirty. We had to flee to another hotel down the road and didn't get reimbursed. It's ridiculous.

Good luck trying to cancel your reservation, no one there answers the phones on either line. I got screwed out of a lot of money on a vacation I had to cancel due to an emergency at home.

Its a very nice place to stay at. And you could see the stars. Very nice views.
