Wonderful stay! The Inn is beautiful and clean, and the staff is professional and friendly. Our room was spacious with two working fireplaces. Just a few blocks from the shops, restaurants and museums , and a nice 10 minute walk to the wharf. Breakfast was fantastic as was complimentary wine and cheese. Would stay here again and highly recommend.

Awesome place to stay if you're visiting Salem. The location is right near everything historical you might want to see and the staff was amazing. They have free breakfast and free wine and cheese in the afternoons! I will definitely stay there again next time I visit.

My family and I have stayed here every year for the past 6 years. We love it here! Its comfortable, clean, and close to most of the attractions that Salem offers. The staff is outstanding and makes you very comfortable. They are knowledgeable about their city and can direct you to whatever you may need. They are ALWAYS friendly. The complimentary breakfast is always great and just an added bonus to staying at the Salem Inn.

This hotel is in downtown Salem and perfect for sightseeing! The staff is friendly, there's a full breakfast each morning and wine and cheese in the evening. The rooms are adorable. Very quaint and comfortable. There is no elevator though, so if you're staying on the 4th floor bewarethe steps are brutal!

Beautiful old hotel. Large room, very comfortable. Nice bathroom/shower. Absolutely amazing location right on Essex street, everything within waking distance. Unfortunately, strange noises in the night (mundane, not supernatural ;]) kept myself and my companions awake. Only stayed one night so we did not complain.

I love this inn. My fiance and I always stay here when staying in Salem (about 4 times so far). It has a great location a d is close to the center of town, is DOG friendly (rare and awesome), and the staff is very kind and helpful. They are very accommodating and some rooms gave a Jacuzzi bath, which was wonderful.

Probably the best stay I've ever had anywhere. Won't stay anywhere else in Salem. The rooms were great, front desk service was great, the woman that runs the complimentary breakfast and wine & cheese hour was hospitable and made the experience even more memorable. Only a walk away from most of Salems attractions. May not have had such a great vacation if we stayed at any other basic, conventional hotel. :)

Really enjoyed our stay at The Salem Inn. Can't thank the staff enough for their friendliness, assistance on what to do around the town, and just making it an overall great experience.

The breakfast was an incredible addition at zero cost. It was so nice to just wake up and know there was fresh coffee, tea, bagels, an omelet station (thanks Diane - sorry if I didn't spell your name correctly). She was so welcoming in the mornings at breakfast and always asked if I'd like an omelet, and to just get situated and relaxed and she'd take care of the rest.

This best thing about this place is location. You are right next to the witch house, literally. The town full of shops and fun activities starts the second you walk out of the front door of the Salem Inn. Just follow the red lines which show you touristy areas, and you're in the heart of it all!

The rooms are perfect for what you'd want. Wood floors, everything is clean, AC is great! We stayed in room 17, the haunted room. We did not experience anything but we felt comfortable in it, as if some presence was there watching over us.

The only scary thing in our room was the lack of internet connection - but that isn't nearly enough of a concern to give less stars. Plus the staff told me it never happens, so I believe it was just an issue with the week we had or it was the room :)

You'll love your stay here at Salem Inn.

Cozy little historic place right in the middle of the historic district in town. It was great to be able to walk anywhere you want downtown from this location. There is off street parking about a block away, so keep this in mind if you have issues with walking. The room was clean and functional. Do not expect a cookie cutter chain hotel room, you are staying here for the historical feel. I liked it and would stay again.

We spent one night as a spontaneous getaway. The staff was friendly and the room was nice. We were in a street facing room, and even in February there was a lot of road noise. Beyond that, it was lovely.

Overall an okay stay at this hotel. Not good or great. The room was clean and spacious. It was lacking a mini fridge or microwave. The staff were nice and helpful. Parking was a bit inconvenient, and there was an issue with the jacuzzi bathtub which was a huge disappointment. This hotel is on a busy street and if you are a light sleeper expect to bring ear plugs because the traffic is quite loud throughout the night.
