I feel for the employees.this location is dangerous to enter and exit! There is no side road or frontage road. You are literally on a highway. I spoke with one of the staff and they said they had been employed there several years and they still are afraid of entering/exiting- and when I asked if there had ever been any serious accidents the response was- "Yes, several." Holiday Inn needs to seriously look into this. Also the elevators we're rundown, our bed was broken, as well as the door into the bedroom which was literally off of the hinge. Left immediately, reported our experience to AAA and book a hotel in Plymouth. Please be cautious if you stay at this location.
The rooms are good but the room service is ok ..not the best one ..but it’s a nice place to spend a night or two at good money ..
Nice clean rooms, friendly service, great good pool. Carrabas restaurant excellent! Wish the rooms had mini-fridges. Also would appreciate some dairy-free and gluten-free options for breakfast.
This Holiday Inn is the reason I avoid their hotels. The place is worn down. Walking into the room you get hit by an musky old smell. Then you notice the torn wallpaper, missing artwork from wall but the holes still there, torn curtains and dirty bathroom. Only reason I did not walk out was because the bed and linens seemed to be in good shape.
I'm an IHG member and frequent many of their hotels. I have NEVER been so dissatisfied in my life! The outside & entry look proper. The older gentleman was less than pleasant. Didn't great me or anything. Last name, I need a credit card, license, sign here and here's your key room is down the hall. Okay, everyone has a bad day maybe it was his. However, what happened next is the REAL problem. This hotel should not even be in the IHG group, I honestly can't believe they allow it to be branded as such. I have NEVER been in a room that was so disgusting. Forget it being outdated. The wallpaper was peeling, the ceiling looked as if had water & was coming apart. The floor was beyond disgusting. So many dark visible stains. I actually refused to put anything on the floor. I made my husband look for bed bugs (I was so grossed out), luckily there weren't any. I considered sleeping in the car but finally gave in & just went to sleep. There is no closet. They have a book shelf & a rod from it to the wall (about 18") to hang anything (which I wasn't chancing anyway). It's convenient to Logan however there are plenty of other choices on the same road for the same price. I'd suggest them, over here anytime.
Well- start with just upkeep. Stains in the carpet, just dirty when you walk in the hall. The room was much better- decent, not great.
Then the fun started. Check in at 7. Go to dinner- back at 830 to shower and prep for meetings. Boom- no hot water. Go to call front desk. Boom- phone doesn't work.
Turns out- they knew there was no hot water- already had a plumber in. Said he has to order a new part - new part can't be ordered without approval of owner. It's 9pm now.
At least they cancelled and let us leave with no charge. That's the 1 star.
Got a suite next door at Springhill for $30/night less.
It's good for what it is it's right in the middle of Salem and Boston. There's lots of fast food places in the area so it's pretty convenient. My only issue is the paper thin walls, I could hear my neighbor going to town on his bathroom and that wasn't a pleasant thing to hear but other than that, it gets the job done.
Will never be staying here again. Aside from one of the older gentlemen at the front desk, this place was horrible. Thank God for him because he was a sweetheart. My room was directly across from the housekeeping room on the first floor. The women who work there are loud and ignorant. Screaming and messing around at the crack of dawn while my children tried to sleep. The room looked clean until you looked at the tables and saw how dirty they are up close. Our beds were uncomfortable too. I've been to other Holiday Inn's and they were much better. This place needs to up their game. They didn't even have a refrigerator and microwave like every other hotel i have been in has had.
Went to the hotel to get ready for a wedding. The staff were very accommodating and friendly. The suite was big enough for 8 people to comfortably get dressed in tuxedos. There was plenty of parking and the hotel was easy to find.
Great bathroom space. Internet was also great although a bit slow at times. The beds were nice and visibly clean. Overall a great experience.
Feels worse than a Holiday Inn Express.
Dated rooms with only 2 drawers.
Dark room.
Loud if you're facing main road.
Hard to access (one way street).
Furniture is broken and severely banged up. HVAC smells as if filters have not been changed.
No fridge in room (really??)
Breakfast is a holiday Inn express breakfast at $12/pp
The room was clean, but so dark. Our lock didn't work properly. We had to ask for toilet paper because there was only a half roll in the room. The bed was very comfortable, but does not have enough blankets and they "didn't have any" when we asked for extras. Breakfast was delicious.
