You can tell this place use to be awesome but is now a dump. Took a table outside and the server ignored my friend and I. Went inside so we could actually get some service. Bartender was nice enough, drinks were tasty but weak. Rolls we ordered tasted fishy even though we didn't order any rolls with fish in them. 4 doubles, 2 shots, and 2 orders of rolls came out to 109 bucks. Rip off!!!

To be honest. This place doesn't even deserve one star. I came here one night with my friends to celebrate my upcoming 21st birthday. I personally have been here before to eat sushi but I have never experienced such bad customer service. The server brought out my friend's & my sushi first, after we had already eaten our dinner no one had come to check on us or anything. My other friend's food finally comes out well after we finished ours & she obviously doesn't want it anymore. It took way too long & no one had come to check on us so she couldn't even tell them sooner to not bring it out. Now our server comes back with an attitude telling my friend she has to pay for the dish. Refusing, she gets the manager for us. This is where it gets even better. The manager proceeds to tell my 19 year old friend that she has to pay for the dish, even though she hasn't even touched it. I don't know any grown person who would make a young person pay for a dish they haven't even eaten after recieving it well after everyone else already ate. Being the person I am I paid for the dish because the manager wasn't given up. When he gave me my bill he told me, "Come here any night & come find me I will take care of you." Right? Take care of me like you did this night? Haha!! It's called eating the cost to ensure you still have a faithful costumer. By the looks of this place it's always empty so that just proves my point that you don't know how to manage a business. For anyone who eats or goes here enter at your own risk, horrible customer service.

I would NEVER recommend this place go anyone. Not only did I have a terrible impolite waitress but the wait was horrid. My friends had finished their food by the time I got mine and my food looked horrible. Once I assured them I did not want them anymore due to bad serviced
The managed then THREATENED me that we were going to HAVE PROBLEMS if I did not pay?? Pretty sure this is illegal I walked out and made sure they knew I was never coming back. My friend then was forced to pay! Such bullshit I did not consume or even touch the plate?? Anyone I can talk to about this awful management?????

This place made me want to shower. It smelled foul, and the waitresses were wearing what I would assume a day shift striper to wear on her way to work. Why they thought sushi meshed with that blows my mind. I thought for sure for poisoning was in our future, so I ordered some forgettable chicken dish.

Beware! The Rack in Tampa used to be one of my favorite places to eat. They had wonderful sushi and a great atmosphere to have a few drinks with friends. The Rack in Brandon is an unfortunate and ineffective imitation of this once great restaurant. When you walk into the restaurant you are immediately notified to the fact that cleanliness is not a priority. The air is reminiscent of rancid seafood and stale beer and the floors are sticky. The wait staff is friendly but awkward and ineffective at creating a comfortable atmosphere. I ordered the bacon cheese fries and received a plate of crispy French fries that had not been seasoned yet were smothered in some type of artificial liquid cheese mixture. The sushi was inedible as it had passed the point of peak freshness and had a very off-putting texture. Finally, the bar seemed inadequately supported because the first two drinks I ordered were unavailable due to inventory issues. At the end of the meal I spoke with the Owner about my experience and was given an insincere apology with an “it is what it is” attitude. This used to be one of my favorite places but it has since been reduced to complete garbage! Avoid this place and spend your money somewhere else.

I have been here on many occasions with different company and I have never had a bad experience. The staff is friendly, the food is good, and the sushi is great! It is kid friendly during the day and the nightlife is accommodating for a good time.
