We booked a room at the Melrose for our wedding anniversary on the Fourth of July. We could not have had a more memorable and exceptional experience. In fact, we will hope to make the Melrose part of our anniversary tradition.

The staff was incredibly helpful and accommodating. Upon arrival to our room (to which we had been generously upgraded for our special occasion), we were met with a wonderful welcome note from the guest relations representative at the front desk congratulating us. The in-house restaurant (the Jardenea) took service to the next level with knowledgable attendants who could recommend great pairings of main courses and wines or mixed drinks.

The only difficult part of our time there was leaving. We have never had such superb service before or since our time at the Melrose and we look forward to returning next year.

We checked in earlier than expected so our rooms were half ready. Rooms are very nice and clean, centrally located, staff are lovely. Would recommend.

It's a decent hotel. The rooms are on par with big chain hotels. The lobby feels a little high class but you don't feel put of place coming and going in a pair of jeans. Don't expect a view since it's on Pennsylvania and is surrounded by buildings. It's location is nice, but most stuff is at least a 10 minute walk.

The Melrose is well located, close to both Georgetown nightlife and Foggy Bottom college life. It's quiet, and the staff is respectful and kind. The room feels dark, and could use more and better lighting. The deluxe king room is spacious, but lacks seating options. The bed is comfortable and clean.

This was a great find in Foggy Bottom. Very reasonably priced hotel, outstanding location, close to subway lines, and very clean and pleasant rooms with ample space and accommodations. Highly recommend for great value for the price and location.

We stayed at the Melrose Georgetown while traveling from Australia to visit the sights of Washington.. The Hotel 'common' areas are stunning. Our room has a basic layout but is comfortable and has a touch of class. The Hotel is within walking distance to the major sightseeing attractions. The WiFi can be a little challenging at times, with slow speeds but there is an upgrade package available for $9.95. The bathroom is classy but with the shower curtain is is impossible to keep the floor dry so you need to be careful is the tiles can get slippery. So, in saying all this the Hotel is lovely and if we return to Washington DC, I would stay there again.

Very efficient and friendly staff. Rooms were very nice, with nice amenities. Very nice looking, small boutique hotel. I believe it was renovated in the past year or two. Rooms included fridge, snacks, robe, loofah - scrub cloth (random but nice) and face wipes. I enjoyed my stay greatly. The restaurant was quiet and quick.

The red headed bartender was awesome! I wish I would have gotten his name. Super fast service at the bar and great cocktails during happy hour and he gave us great recommendations.

Big room, quiet, well located and clean! The only issue was the horrible founding fathers decorations all over the place. Just put mirrors and make it look classy. Otherwise, great deal. Would completely recommend.

i had a group of artists staying in the hotel and could only say on behalf of the actors and myself that we were treated in a most extraordinary and considerate manner- at the front desk, lobby- everyone appeared to go out of their way to make our stay especially memorable. Kennedy Center and myself were astounded how this fabled Russian theatre company were treated. In addition to the hotels hospitality the company loved being so centrally located. A special thank you should go to Ceren Ozyenginer who kept this large operation going very smoothly and always being available to our needs.
My companies and I look forward to returning and much gratitude, once again.

We just got back and I have to say our stay was great! Plusesthe rooms are a great size, much bigger than your typical city hotel. I can't say enough good things about the front desk staff and the valet guys. The lobby, the restaurant, the decor especially in the hallways was just beautiful, and the location is awesome! Negativesyes, the bathrooms are small and narrow and parking IS expensive but that's the price we pay when we bring our car into a big city. We've been to D.C. before but I still did my homework before choosing a property and so glad we went with The Melrose. We will absolutely stay there again. Go. You won't regret it.
