Great location and the rooms are comfortable and well furnished. While it is a great place to stay if you want to be in the heart of Georgetown it has a couple of draw backs. First and foremost is the fact that it only has two elevators. So if you are in a hurry it's not unheard of to wait upwards of five minutes for an elevator to become available. Also the gym is not worth the long walk and the non-existent resistance equipment. Great staff and a decent breakfast spread make this place a good stay.
Good location. Not needing new sheets or towels every day I tend to leave the Do Not Disturb sign out so I end up going to the front desk to ask for more toiletries the person at the front desk asked if the maid didn't leave any and when I explained that I had the do not disturb sign out they mumbled under their breath, "that's why you didn't get any toiletries". After that I had just asked the maid when I heard them in the hall. The maids were excellent and very helpful always asking if they could help in any way.
We always stay here and find the people hospitable and the place perfect for our needs. Love the free parking we received with our reservation. -- The glass in the bathroom was left dirty and not replaced with a clean one during our stay.
My wife and I have stayed here for about 5 straight years. I love the rooms with the balconies. Breakfast in the morning is nice and I love the complimentary Washington Post. Didn't have to pay for parking this time. Rates have gone up to $35.00 per night.
This hotel is lovely! It's close to all kinds of great restaurants, shopping and people watching! The rooms are clean, spacious and have kitchenettes. The staff are welcoming and the view is beautiful!
We were here to visit our son about 2.5 miles away. Location was perfect. Staff was very friendly and our room was awesome. Next time we stay we hope to check out the area even more. Breakfast was good and the staff was great about keeping items stocked. Parking was convenient & very accessible from garage. So many things to see not very far away. I definitely recommend for a great stay!!
Enjoyed our stay. Sheets & bathrooms were clean. Continental breakfast was good especially the cappuccino and latte maker. Thank You!!
Excellent location close to the harbor and close access to transit. Very friendly and helpful staff. Room was clean and pleasant, meeting my expectations.
College visits for several days, combined with long vacation. We stayed for 11 nights. -- Price, location, size of the suites all played a factor. I guess in a word, VALUE is the word to describe the Georgetown Suites. The staff was excellent - everyone at the front desk and especially the cleaning staff! We will definitely return and will recommend you to everyone we know.
Decent price, great location, easy access to Georgetown and city [walk to Foggy Bottom station or catch the Circulator bus]. Rooms are functional. Don't expect luxury standard room or service for the price paid. Free breakfast buffet - Continental breakfast served. Free newspapers - local and national. No hotel restaurant but lots of great restaurants and eateries on M Street and side streets in Georgetown. Great for budget travelers!
I stayed in room 104. It was absolutely terrible. Ground level with windows on the courtyard. People wandered right next to my room until 1 AM to smoke or talk. Cars pulled up with headlights shining right in my room. At one point an emergency vehicle pulled up facing headlights and flashing lights directly at my my windows. Loud, bright and very disturbing. YOU SHOULD NOT RENT OUT ROOMS 104 and 106
A company I was interviewing for booked this place for me. Very comfortable beds. Fully equipped kitchen with refrigerator, coffee maker, microwave, toaster, convention oven, deep sink, and plenty of utensils like mugs, spoon and couple of bowls as well. I ended up using none of that, but it's nice to know they are available.
Medical appointments -- Cherry blossom special made the price for value unbeatable. Loved having suite with kitchen -- Lolita was AWESOME. She was kind as courteous when we requested a room change and changed the room within the same day. She always greeted us with a smile and accommodated our request promptly.
There are two hotels, so don't make the mistake of going to the wrong one. The smaller hotel was nice, but a bit dusty in places. It had a great breakfast and the waterfront location was unbeatable. My only gripe was contributing to the homelessness problem that is caused by elitism and wage inequality, forcing people to sleep in the streets across from this hotel, versus in the homes they once owned. Did I mention the view of the water? Location, location, human deprivation!
