Nice little hotel. Very well located, within walking distance of Metro, buses and landmarks. Big, comfy rooms with everything you might need for your visit to DC

I liked the hotel room very much. It was actually nearly as big as my own flat 😁 The rooms are clean and the bed was great. One day I even got a newspaper without asking for it. A little annoying were the guys who came to the room day all the time to bring ice, water, 😉 But in total I liked my stay in this hotel very much and can recommend this hotel. Ah by the way in case it matters, I took a room without kitchen.

Great hotel!! I was not expecting such a beautiful hotel because the price was so reasonable and we booked it so last minute, but it was amazing! We got upgraded to a deluxe room upon arrival and it was beautiful! It was updated, with large windows, a full kitchen, and in such a fun area! I am so happy that we stumbled upon the State Plaza Hotel.

Quiet, upscale place. On the small side, but nicely well-appointed. Not handicap accessible—you have to climb a set of stairs off of the lobby to get to the elevators, and we didn't see any ramps or signage indicating an accessible route. Consider parking your car elsewhere, because otherwise you can look forward to paying them upwards of $45/day for the privilege. Otherwise, service was good. The valet fetched our vehicle quickly.

Nice Hotel. A little dated, buy really clean. They really could have weighted shower curtains as they envelope you while you shower. I had to walk out of the building through a parking garage to get to my room. Not a huge deal, but something to keep in mind.

Very nice place to stay. Quiet, clean and spacious rooms. Well equipped.
Great prices. Staff is friendly and helpful. Near to The National Mall, White House, Lincoln Memorial, etc. and George Washington University.

The suites are HUGE - very clean rooms with kitchenette that included stove/microwave and full sized fridge plus dishes and glasses! Huge California King sized bed, two flat screen tvs, modern bathrooms and extremely friendly staff. Location was perfect with easy Metro access and Lincoln Memorial less than half mile walk away. One of the best pizza joints in DC (&Pizza) was located less than 3 min walk away. Phenomenal value for the amount of space, amenities and location. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Will be my first choice in DC moving forward.

The staff are very friendly and professional. The room was very nice to have a refrigerator and stove to cook a meal instead of having to eat out. Also outlets on each lamp are nice for chargers.

Our room was very big and very clean! It had a small kitchen and fridge. The bed was very comfortable and I slept so well. Staff was friendly, location was great. If stay here again!

It's a great place located right in the touristy area of Washington DC. We drove to Washington DC in our car, parked our car that is right besides the state plaza hotel. We went around the touristy places on our feet and the bicycles. We checked out the cherry blossoms around the tidal basin, visited all the must see places in DC. There is a cvs right besides the hotel. The restaurant within the state plaza is also good and there is & restaurant near to the hotel. It was a pleasant stay and a smooth trip for us. Oh and the room in the hotel was fantastic and we had a small kitchenette. Definitely a hotel you must check out if you are in this area.

Went to DC for the Cherry Blossom festival. Last minute decision so based on the reviews on the multiple online booking sites we decided on this hotel because their price was the most competitive and we just needed to stay for a night. The building from outside looks pretty shabby but the inside is neatly done and although not modern does not seem outdated. Because of the recently changing weather the cooling unit in our room wasn't working (we weren't the only guests facing this problem). Seems like heating/cooling happen from the same system and so we just went at the wrong time. According to them it takes a day to switch from heating to cooling. They did provide a fan though and apologized for the inconvenience. The hotel is walking distance from all the touristy stuff in DC although there are quite a few hotels which are better placed. Also on a side note parking is pretty expensive at the hotel at $43 per night. You can find cheaper parking online. We parked our car a couple of blocks from the hotel for $13 a night.

Great location - just inside of the city and within walking distance of a ton of things to do/see. Extremely professional and courteous staff. The room itself was exceptionally clean, comfortable and up-to-date. There was a kitchenette with dishes/pots/pans, a stove, microwave, sink and fridge with a bag of ice in the freezer.

The only reason for 4 stars and not 5 is that fact that if you come during the week (on the weekends street parking is free) you essentially have no choice but to pay for the valet parking - which is about $45 per NIGHT, which is outrageous. Especially if you stay for multiple nights and don't need your car the entire time.
