Price is good, but the hotel is not all thar great. But don't let the entrance fool you. It looks nice and fancy in the entrance of the hotel. Has a coffee bar, looks good. Then you get in the elevator and the doors open, and you see the old crappy hotel tan wallpaper, half peeled off. Looks like the scene from The Shinning. There's no room service, no mini fridge in the room, bathroom is tiny. Great for price, but not a pretty hotel.

Location was great since we were there to go to Madison Square Garden. Nice clean hotel staff was nice, my only issue was checking in. We were told we could check in at 130-2 but when we went to check in we were told not until 4, which was an inconvenience. And parking isn't included which stunk. Also we paid ahead of time and we were charged another fee when we checked in.

Great location!! Staff extremely friendly and helpful. We LOVE the gentlemen that work the little coffee shop in the mornings. Rooms were nice and clean.. this is an older hotel but again, very clean. Beds super comfy!

After reading many reviews about The Manhattan at times square, we checked in with an open mind and low expectations. Our room was on the 21st floor. The pictures on the website they use to market the hotel are from newly renovated floors like 18, most are dated and look 20+ years. Having said that, we didn't have any issues with the decor being dated. Everything was clean, I checked the mattresses which were both clean and spotless, the bathroom was neat and clean. All in all, it was fine. In a very expensive city, you get what you pay for. I think this hotel is worth the $100/night price point. I don't agree that they should market the beautiful rooms they do, when that only counts for a small percentage of the rooms available, but not much I can do about that. If you're looking for an affordable hotel in Manhattan that is super close to Times Square, the park, and most other central things to do, this is a fine choice.

The photos shared on this hotel's website do NOT represent the hotel rooms and area a far cry from what they are representing. The rooms are dated, old and smelly. None of the phones in our room worked, there was a water leak in the wall that created a 3'x3' wet spot on our carpet. EVERYONE checking into this hotel was complaining about the rooms. The hotel manager spent his entire time managing angry people who were dissatisfied with their rooms. The location is great and if you don't mind a crappy room with worn down furniture, stained and wet carpets, then you will be fine. Despite my complaints regarding "bait and switch" to the hotel manager, nothing was done. I arrived at 6pm to get my room and I was told it wasn't ready. The hotel guaranteed rooms at 3pm and yet everyone had the same complaint. My recommendation would be to find another hotel and NEVER consider this place.

For the price in Times Square it is fine. You are paying solely for the location. The hotel is fine but old and needs updating. I was expecting much for the price and it met those expectations. It was fine, I didn't go to NYC to stay in my room.

Staff was amazing, lobby is beautiful, and that's where the good news stops. We were downgraded from our original room. The room was old, bathroom was so small you could hardly get into the bathroom and shut the door. AC never cooled down. Wallpaper peeling everywhere with mold growing behind it. Carpet was old, dark and nasty. Bathroom was so outdated, small and in need of major repairs. Water stains and leaks all of walls. Not a happy camper. Tried to add pics but it won't let me.

We were very disappointed to see the poor quality of our room compared to the photos online and to the modern atmosphere set by the lobby. The hallway carpets are dingy and raveling with poor lighting, the housekeeping staff carried on VERY loud conversations which could be heard clearly in our room. The walls seemed very thin as you could also hear normal conversations in the hall and neighboring rooms. Very few accessible outlets (none near either nightstand), and the vents and smoke detector looked like they hadn't been cleaned in years. The bathroom's wallpaper and bathtub was peeling with stained grout. Also, the daily fees for Wifi and gym (which is tiny) was a surprise. 2 stars only because the bed was comfortable, the lobby staff was great, and the location was unbeatable. Not totally dissatisfied, but not the luxurious experience we were expecting.

The pictures do not correspond to the actual rooms and hotel decor. The hall is refurbished, but the rest of the hotel looks like a cheap motel. Not very clean overall and mediocre service.

They should be upfront about it, but instead they pictures of rooms that are in a floor that in exclusively for "executive club" loyality members.
The other 15 floors are "shining"-like experience.

On top of that are also "hidden" charges. Never again.

The position is excellent, simply ask for a higher price and the correct room pictures and position yourself correctly as a convenience tourist spot.

Great location. It's ironic because the lobby looks very glamorous, but the rooms are motel 6 quality. My room had a bathtub that looked like it was rotting. The soundproofing was terrible so you could hear a lot of noise from the outside. Very overpriced for the room quality. Very dingy. If you are in New York to party and want a hotel with a good location this place is adequate. If you want a comfortable room where you can sleep look elsewhere. Very overpriced with a litany of fees.

The staff were very friendly. I was particularly grateful of the bellboys throughout our stay. They were extremely helpful! The rooms were ok. There is a lot of noise in New York, obviously not all was removed from behind the walls, but it was still very nice to stay here. Location is perfect

This is a soft three-star review. The only reason why I'm giving it 3 stars is because we were randomly upgraded to their balcony suite. Which is actually awesome. I'd request room 2245 when coming here. I'm going to light up a nice cigar overlooking Times Square.

This is the best-priced hotel so close to Times Square. If you have realistic expectations you will not be disappointed. The location is great and the price is right! Had I spent $300 a night for a nicer hotel I would have been seriously upset because all we did was sleep here. Our days were spent exploring the city and seeing the sights. We came back everyday to a clean room and fresh towels. I will definitely stay here again.

It was an overall great stay! Great location as it was in the middle of times square and central park. The staff that I encountered from the Concierge to the bellhops and other staff were great. They were frindly and also more than willing to help give any suggestions on what attractions to enjoy. The room was clean and we had a great view of the billboards and screens of times square. The only complaint would be the heat in the room which took a while to warm up but it was fine in the end. The price for a nightly rate was great. All in all a great stay and I would recommend it to anyone looking to stay near times square.
