This review is for the spa (Shibui) at the hotel which is in the basement. After checking in you're led to locker rooms to change and robe up and optionally shower. The lockers are a bit worn down and the actual room is quite small with only one bathroom. There are two showers, one a rain shower and the other is similar but has steam as well. I did both and definitely recommend the steam shower, both before and after your treatment. The waiting area is nice and next to a medium sized pool that was pretty cold but felt good after the massage. Tea, water, nuts, dried apricots and apples are provided while you wait. The massage was very nice although you could get something just as good for almost half the price elsewhere. All in all a very nice experience but overpriced in my opinion.

Intimate luxury hotel where every detail is perfectly mastered. Service is as you expect: beyond expectations. Room had beautiful antique-like wood and copper furniture. It was personalised and much warmer and welcoming than your regular hotel room. The marble deep bathtub literally fills up in 60 seconds - I love it. When going to the spa's beautiful pool, make sure you put on one of their yukata robes. Finally, we spent a lot of time by the fireplace in their private lounge. Its decor, its ambience, its dim light, its De Niro's paintings, its whispering crowd: you're in a movie, a great movie.

I love The Greenwich Hotel. And as a member of their loyalty program not only you get special rates but you also get free wifi and complimentary beverage. It is quite an enchantingly rustic environment with period charm. I've never seen anything like it.

What an incredible hotel. Our room was absolutely beautiful with gorgeous wooden floors and an immaculately well designed bathroom. We were left complementary sweets and treats everyday by the staff which was a nice stack between our trips out touring New York. The staff were so friendly, accommodating and eager to please. The restaurant attached to the hotel is also brilliant and some of the best food I've had in a very long time - certainly the best we had while we stayed in New York! I eagerly await our trip back, we couldn't even consider another hotel!

Really great location. I love the aesthetics of both the interior and exterior of the hotel. The beds are extremely comfortable, the sheets were very clean, and the room space was perfect for the occasion. The professionalism and service from staff was also very incredible. I had misplaced my phone in the building, and one staff member, Yesenia, was gracious enough to spend some time assisting me in successfully locating it. I cannot thank her enough for that. The complimentary perks were an added bonus to the experience. I will most definitely make a return in the near future without a doubt.

Wabi-Sabi Perfection (pardon the pun). This hotel is a contemporary masterpiece. It will make you FEEL again. It catches you off guard and then surprises you then makes you feel like you are wrapped in a warm blanket.
Everything about the surroundings make you think differently while accessing familiar and fond memories.
The facilities are amazing. The Japanese inspired pool is something to be experienced. The gym is maybe the best hotel gym in NYC - small but perfectly designed.
The rooms are eclectic and eccentric whilst being strangely comfortable and homely. The mosaic tiled shower complete with a shower curtain (WTF) is the best hotel shower I have ever experienced.
The staff match the hotels cool without trying attitude and make you feel like a Rock star - maybe that's why so many of them stay here !!
Come home and visit your Soul.
