Appliance buyer beware! The appliance buying process was easy and smooth, the employee helping me was professional and courteous but that's where it ended. Home Depot uses Spirit Delivery to deliver and hook-up new appliances. Spirit Delivery is unreliable, rude, and unprofessional. It is surprising that Home Depot would do business with such a poorly run company and that poor customer service is a reflection on Home Depot. I have currently given up 5 1/2 hours waiting for delivery only to have the delivery man show up at 8:30pm. He was rude and unprofessional and did not properly complete the washing machine hook-up. The next day I made several phone calls to Spirit and to Home Depot. The delivery driver was supposed to come back out to complete the hook-up. I have been waiting at home for 12 hours and 15 minutes and still no one from Spirit has called or arrived. If you don't have the time to complete a job correctly the first time, how will you ever find the time to complete the job a second time. Spirit is a reflection of Home Depots lack of customer care and therefore I am leaving a one-star review.

After 4 associates and 30 minutes, I finally got to speak with the assistant manager. I was there in the stpre waiting. My issue was I had purchased a dishwasher and microwave. After installation I noticed the dishwasher had two scratches all across the front panel. Called HD and was directed to call the delivery company. Called and they gave me the option of compensation or replacement, I chose the latter and set a redelivery date. Waited on the day that item was supposed to be delivered and by al.ost 5 that day I called to see where the delivered we're and was told it was rescheduled for 10 days later. No one had contacted me to I form me of this. After waiting the entire day for a delivery that never came. Called the store and was told that the delivery company was closed but they would contact them on monday and get an answer as to why it was resheduled. Monday came and went with no call. Friday I called the store again and was told that some we're in team I g but she would get right back with me. Waited 3 hours and decided to .make a personal visit, this is when I stood around 30 minutes waiting for someone from management. Once I was encountered by management it seemed as though insult to injury was the order. I felt like I was being interrogated as to what had occurred and why was I seeking tbis to be addressed. Im the customer who was put out and inconvienced and I'm treated like a criminal with the interrogation! Never again will I purchase a anything from this company again until they dramatically improve their customer service pray tices.

I purchased carpet from you in June of this year, as a part of your promotion to sell me the carpet and you would do the install "for free". It is now November 27th and I am still walking on subfloor. And no one at the store, your regional manager and customer care have all failed to correct this problem. And no, I am not paying another installer, in essence paying twice (we all know there's nothing free--your installation fees were just buried in the cost of the carpet) and no, I am not paying a 15% restocking fee because you have not fulfilled your end of the contract. In the last 30 days I have purchased $3K worth of bamboo flooring and $8K for decking materials--from your competitor a half mile away Menards. I have never seen such poor service in my life! The store, incidentally, is Casper, Wyoming.

    Online order
I placed an order on 8/1/17 here it is 8/15/17 and still no product. The order was to ship on a Saturday at my place of business - but nothing, not a phone call, email or Text message. Mind you my place of business is closed on Saturdays but there I was waiting. I call today to find out where is my product and Customer care proceeded to say that the product was damaged in Transit and they refunded my money. Are you kidding me? Is this how we treat customers? We just cancel a customer's order with zero communication and say oh you have to repurchase the item that you already paid for and wait even longer. Now I have to wait 3-5 days for my credit to show up.. and come out of pocket again to pay for something that should have just been sent in the first place. What kind of service is this. Why make a customer go through all of this- it is simple:
    1) Communicate with the customer what has happened and give them the option to cancel or proceed. 2) Post the payment already made to the new order and send the customer what they paid for. I can go on on on. How hard can this be? I guess customer service does not exist anymore. I will take my little ole $2000.00 somewhere else.

The Valley Stream NY Home depot is the worse. Their staff is under trained. I was there making a purchase only to find out the new software was installed and NOONE in this department knew how to work the program. I was there 3hrs. only to have to walk away empty handed. The managers nor the immediate supervisors know how to work the new software. SO MANAGEMENT IS TO BLAME!!! not the hourly staff.

I will never, never shop at home depot again. I had to call the police to get the installers off of my property. They were the installers from hell. They refused to install my dishwasher, so they left. The dishwasher is still setting in the middle of my kitchen, in the box and 24 hrs later home depot has still done nothing. I have a beautiful home. My husband and I are both 78 yrs old, he is wheelchair bound and does not talk, walk, paralyzed completely on his right side. And home depot does not care at all. Public beware - go somewhere else to do your business.

If I could give them a lower score I would. I order a patio set online don't get it by the expected date call spend an hour on the phone with them get nothing resolved. The answer i get from them is I'll get a call on Monday to let me know where the patio set is. No phone call yesterday ( Monday) call today oh guess what my order has been lost and a refund had been issued. They couldn't call me to let me know. This patio set was ordered for father's day we are now mid July and you're barely telling me this. I see why there are so many negative reviews for home depot. Now I have to wait for the refund to come through and go find another patio set

My experience the last few times hasn't been all that bad. Tonight I went to hone depot to get the last few things I needed to finish my bathroom. Well, needless to say I walked around after getting what I needed only to run into lawn and garden furniture on sale. Amazing! Well at least I thought. I found the set I wanted within seconds, waited 10 mins for someone to assist me. Was told the set I wanted wasn't on sale even tho the sales sticker was taped to the table in plain site. The young man asked if I'd like to speak to the manger, of course I did. To make a long story as short as I can, i got my set at the discounted price(after being told 14 different stories and brushed off). Half satisfied with that I walked to the reg to pay only to hear the MANAGER AND OTHER STAFF talking about me and say how I was rude for wanting the sale price that was shown and how they can't stand picky customer so forth and so on. I acted as if I didn't hear the snide remarks and laughter as I checked out. I got all there names and will be filing a full complaint Monday with Corp. This is unprofessional and u acceptable. I'm a loyal customer. In the past 3 days I've spent well over $1,000 in this store and to be treated like an ass does not go over well with me. Especially in front of my 13 year old son. I'm sure as much as home depot doesn't care about my money, I will be shopping else where! Shame on you hone depot for letting your employees treat people this way!

If it was a option I would have game them a 0. I bought a GE fridge from HD with the extra warranty. It has not worked since Dec. They have replaced the fan, compressor and the main board and it still don't work. Worst customer care EVER and will never step foot in HD. PEOPLE NEED TO GO TO LOWE'S. THEY WILL HELP YOU.

Was discriminated against, harassed, bullied, threatened, had urine dumped in locker and on apron worn daily. Management not only aware of what was going on but refused to act to protect me. They're afraid of this employee, cowering to him for fear of retaliation against them. So who actually manages this store, the bully. Then when I returned as a customer I was threatened by the management team that failed to protect me in the first place. Don't work for these people. They will stab you in the back, sell you out to save themselves, won't protect you and their corporate/HR won't help you. They tell you the AACG is a separate entity but they work for home Depot and have only home depots best interests in mind. After several statements had been against this bully by me and several other employees, he received no consequences for his behavior and remains as an employee there still. Even after failing drug tests whike seeking employment with other companies for cocaine, marijuana, meth, steroids and other non prescribed drugs he's still there, running power equipment around customers, children and employees. Shame on you home Depot for allowing all of these things to happen to good employees and only hanging on to lazy, hostile, violent drug addicts who threaten their way into job security. BAD COMPANY!!! No one is safe.

This place has really got to help their employees . I was injured. At work. I have not received a penny for days lost, even medical care. Now they have fired me because my work is bad? Or is it because I caused problems. I had to get an attorney. I guess that my left arm being reported that it is permanent damage I will always be in pain with no help. I have photos of my work. I always strive to be the best I can be.

While my experience with the customer service representatives on the phone were pleasant and professional, my experiences with the "that will cost extra" fees were certainly not. Home Depot should follow "truth in advertising" in both ads and stating initial fees. Although I am able to do most activities and am in reasonably good health for someone of my age, I would have appreciated knowing all of the extra fees involved in having the heavy flooring actually carried to the installation site, and furniture and appliances moved. Those are just some of the added fees. I prefer to know up front what is included in the final cost; I feel that Home Depot does not communicate as honestly with its customers in its advertising as it should.

I bought a dryer on line, it was to be delivered on Sat/10/16. I got a automated call saying they would be here between 8:00 and noon. They left a number to call back it that was not satisfactory. Guess what, the mailbox was full. I then called the store and held for 50 min. and got nothing.
NEVER AGAIN WILL I buy even a nail from them. It's a different place when
they opened. I am aware the first owners sold out but a 3 year old could do better than this bunch.
