Alice was very warm and friendly and answered all our questions. We had the tomato bisque soup and the chicken noodle soup for lunch. It was a cold day and soup sounded good. The chicken noodle was good. I felt the broth tasted a little watery for me. The tomato bisque was very good. The place is inexpensive and has great atmosphere. I will return. Ask them about the scene from Midnight In the Garden of Good and Evil.

Alice made us feel right at home. Watch out for the eclairs as they are easily big enough for four. Great coffee. Usual diner menu with large portions. We got a special treat as one of the chefs “got down” with the jukebox. Ask to be seated at table 35 so you get Alice and can sit along the photos of the cast of “Midnight In The Garden Of Good And Evil.”

    Great food!
    Great family atmosphere!
Location is beautiful as it’s walking distance from almost any place you could stay when visiting.
Just great, the only room for improvement could be with the service. Not terrible, but it just feels a bit off

Wow, great pancakes, corned beef hash, ham, fried potatoes, fresh ground coffee, food and service. This restaurant has been serving the same food since 1903 even though the owner has changed several times. We highly recommend it !!

I had a chef salad, it was huge and fresh. The soup of the day chicken and shrimp gumbo, it was phenomenal. Will go back when we come visit again. Great service, good food at great prices. It was just far enough away from the tourist areas that it was like being at your favorite restaurant back home

Great place for tourists!! There is a historical connection to the book/movie "Midnight in the Garden of Good & Evil" and the old-diner, southern vibes are a Savannah staple. Four stars because the food and service are spectacular but the experience makes up for it. Since it is so popular for tourists, try to go on a weekday to avoid the wait.

My dad and I stopped here for breakfast today. We came around 9AM and we're seated very quickly. We ordered the Eggs Benedict and The Victorian (biscuits and gravy). The food came out quickly, too. Unfortunately the gravy was very underseasoned/bland and the poached eggs weren't cooked enough. This place is loud with a lot of families with kids on a Sunday (expected). I will say that the pan sausage was delicious and SCAD students get a discount.

Fantastic find. Had the breakfast: eggs, ham (very generous portion), potatoes and biscuit (not overly impressed with the biscuit). Sister had pecan honey waffle (said it was divine). Could eat here over and over again. Everything that came out of the kitchen looked inviting. Small place but worth it.

Great price with really great food. There corned beef hash was great and was made homemade. I also got a pecan sticky bun which was served warm filled with pecans. Together the side of corned beef hash and pecan bun were a lot more then I could finish for only $10.

Found Clary's Cafe by searching Top 10 Places to eat in Savannah. Wife and I stopped in for lunch. The food is simple fare but very tasty and very generous on the serving sizes. Chicken Fingers weren't your typical small pieces but were full-sized batter dipped chicken strips. They were terrific. Black bean soup was good altho the French Onion soup was a little salty. For a taste of down home Savannah, check them out.

The five star its for the friendly and nice service that was given to us in the most busy and rushed time in this restaurant. I was very impressed with the cashiers positive attitude towards taking my order in rush hours. Besides the excellent servicethe food is delicious and fresh.

I've been coming here for six years. The food is great, the prices are good, and the staff is wonderful. I recommend Clary's to everyone that comes to Savannah.

Savannah has so many good restaurants to try, it's tough to decide where to eat for breakfast. After reading several good reviews of Clary's on various websites and on Google reviews I decided Clary's was the place for Sunday brunch.

Having my 2 small dogs with me I decided to order their Greek omelette for takeout and enjoy it at one of the local squares nearby. The staff is genuinely friendly and service is terrific! The hostess and waitress seeing that my barky pup was with me and I couldn't go in the restaurant not only brought my food out to me but they gave my dog a treat to enjoy. To top it off I accidentally forgot to order an extra drink for family member so when I returned minutes later they graciously brought my beverage out to me but didn't charge me for it. Never have I had such great service but also food was so good and plentiful for what I paid. I highly recommend Clary's!

This place was a big disappointment for breakfast. It is definitely a tourist trap even though it was highly rated. The host staff and server staff we're not very professional. Food quality really was not that great. We watched the person in the pass window who is prepping food eat something and put his hand in his mouth and then begin to handle food. The crab eggs benedict that I ordered seriously tasted like a tuna fish Patty. The food took much longer than we would have expected. The rating that this place has definitely does not reflect the professionalism of the location
