Went here after a doctor's visit in a Saturday for lunch. The staff is great! Very courteous and greet your table by the name given. The food is good but over priced. The menu selection is lacking a bit. I had the Cobb salad with chicken and the dressing is amazing. The valet parking was useful too, at a good price. Go before 12 because it gets packed quick!

Staff was very friendly I must admit but I got food to go and didn’t receive silverware. I got pan seared Chicken and creamy Mac n cheese. Food was not cooked all the way and still had a little blood on the inside, it looked like some regular fried chicken from bojangles or somewhere. Wish I could post my video! Mac n cheese had no flavor at all. To top it off being 25$ for a not appeasing at all fried chicken meal. But on the flip side I gave it to my dog and he devoured it

It was my daughters 16th birthday and the staff was so accommodating and friendly. My daughter and her friend had a great time and they even allowed us to bring our cake inside and sing happy birthday and they also offered to cut the cake for us. Thank you Maureen and the staff of Buck-head Diner! I give you a 10 out of 10!

I went to this place for my anniversary with my husband and the food was great! But what made our experience even better was the service. Our server was a girl named Leah, she was so attentive to all our needs and so polite. Great service! Thanks for a great experience at this restaurant we will definitely be coming back.

The restaurant has been known to be crowded on weekends. But the Eclipse may have deflected patrons. So the wait time was short. We should have pushed for a table, the booths are confining, and that makes it difficult to enter and exit. If someone has a physical disability a table is definitely the only option. Appetizer and Entree were good. Busboy who cleared our table, took our utensils. Then brought our Entree, but left us without utensils. Dessert that usually is heated in the microwave, which because it's cake like makes it hard. We said,"Don't,"and it was still tasty. Julia our server did a great job. Tipping,is affected by the quality of the food, and the bus boys, and the server. Servers usually have to share tips with the bus boys, and possibly the bar tender, if you bring your drink with you adding it to the final bill. Not enough Rose' on the wine list.

    A Delicious Surprise!
Wife and I were in Atlanta for one night and stayed at the Fairfield Inn right across the street. Did a Google map search for a place for dinner and read the reviews for this restaurant. 2 minute walk and we were seated. Service was excellent; White jacketed wait staff is formal and attentive without being disruptive. Think of your favorite comfort food and dial it up to 11. I enjoyed the Parmesan encrusted cheese melt and the wife had the tomato soup. Finished off with the coffee crumb cake with caramel drizzle and fresh cinnamon ice cream. Fantastic! What a great mix of casual dining and formal flavors. Highly recommended.

There was a short, blond hair in our meatloaf that we deduced belonged to the bearded chef. After we pointed it out, the waitress first touched it to ensure that it was hair (I guess) then apologized and took it away. The manager brought a replacement dish to the table, along with our check. Instead of comping the replacement dish, however, he comped a much cheaper appetizer dish. The food was pretty good overall, but it definitely was not worth the hair. I will not be visiting this restaurant again, which is really a shame because I've had such positive experiences at all of the other buckhead life restaurants. Perhaps if the manager was more empathetic, I would feel differently.

We had crab cakes and fried chicken. Both were perfect! I had the White Chocolate Banana Cream Pie for desert! Perfect, Plus! If you want a terrific meal and don't want to spend an immense amount, eat here. A very pleasant place, very capable and helpful wait staff, just a delightful place for a really nice dinner!

Went to dinner last night with a group of friends and acquaintances I met while attending a teachers conference at the grand Hyatt. The atmosphere was nostalgic, the service was great and our food was delicious. I ordered a Vanilla shake to go at the end of our meal, and while settling up our tabs I took a big sip, felt a lump in my mouth, crunched down on something foul tasting and spat a large, black BUG into my white napkin. I called the waiter over, he was very apologetic, took the shake off my receipt and offered to make me a new one. Unfortunately, I think the experience has turned me off of shakes for life. Out of sheer disappointment and embarrassment I can't go back to this diner ever. Back to Calgary, Canada I go tomorrow with a bad taste in my mouth.

Drove 2 hours to eat here. This place was beyond our expectations. The food was fabulous and so was our waiter. Make sure you ask for the waiter Brian, he makes your experience even better. Will dine here everytime I come to Atlanta.

Great dining experience. Excellent service staff, with a wonderful ambiance. I recommend going on Wednesday or Sunday for their fried chicken special. So delicious! However the sweet chili calamari is the best item on the menu!

This place is worth the wait time. The menu offers something for everyone but it isn't typical food by any means.
Our server, Alex, was wonderful. He was enthusiastic about serving but did not hover.
He even talked us into dessert which we hardly ever do but he was right. It was delish.
