Wonderful Inn. Friendly staff. Really comfortable beds. Breakfast is delicious. Amenities are choice. Cookie snacks in the lobby in the evening. Everything is so clean and the atmosphere is great. Wheelchair accessible.

Fast check in by the clerk as we were in our room in no time. THe rooms are large clean and more than I expected for the price. The staff in the restaurant was more than friendly during all hours. The breakfast was a buffet and a step above most places. The shuttle took us to places around Winston Salem free of charge which saved on Uber and Taxi's . I will be staying there again.

Heard great things from our client, Brandon Maddox about this Hawthorne Inn. Brandon is constantly touring, which means he stays in a lot of hotels and gave us strong reviews.
The staff made Brandon feel at home from check in to check out. Helpful, professional and always in a good mood they were great to work with.
The Hawthorne Inn's breakfast had everything our client was hoping for. The Bayberry Bistro is also open for lunch and has dinner and drink specials as well.
Brandon wasn't on a golf trip, but noticed the Hawthorne has golf packages (close to many courses). Walking distance to the downtown area, the location is terrific (always good to give the car a rest when you've been traveling a lot).
The entire property was kept clean and the room was quiet. All in all, it was the perfect fit for our client.response / report this review -

Hawthorne was a great stay for us. Complimentary breakfast spread was second to none. Staff was kind and helpful. Rooms were clean and the elevators are quick! One swipe at the door and you’re in your room before you know it! Really enjoyable stay!

I love the Hawthorne Inn. The hotel is comfortable. The food is good. The staff is friendly and helpful. It is within walking distance of both downtown and the Old Salem Historic site. I highly recommend it.

I love staying here. The hotel is a little older so if you're looking for super modern luxury this may not work out for you. The rooms however are always clean, and the staff is SO friendly and helpful. Also their breakfast is hot and cooked with love. I highly recommend checking it out. I dont believe you'll be disappointed.

Winston-Salem is a beautiful town and this hotel rests right in the heart of it. This hotel is within walking distance from a very lively and popping downtown area, but just enough on the outskirt to stay in and have a chill night, so either are easily possible. The front desk even offered board games which I thought was neat. The staff was very friendly and accommodating, there was something I needed to change from my reservation and without hesitance it was immediately changed with no hassle, so I really appreciate them doing that. After that the pool was secluded and nice, and the room were pretty extravagant for not that much coin. It had all the full amenities I needed, and then some. Very clean, plenty of towels, nice tv, this will definitely be the place I stay when I return to Winston-Salem.

An elegant hotel owned by Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center. I was there to attend the Western Film Fair to say hi again to one of my all time favorite Cowboy Actors, Buck Taylor. I couldn't stay at the hotel because it was sold out. I can tell you that the staff was very helpful to all the participants and guests. The Film Fair took up a lot of the conference space on several floors. The hotel is handicap accessible and there are 5 handicap parking places at the front door. It was a wonderful day and I thank the Hawthorne Inn and Conference Center for their gracious hospitality.

The hotel is older but well maintained. The staff was great. Rooms are spacious and clean but could use some design help with furnishings. We had a large group and everyone was comfortable. No complaints. We hosted a graduation party in the bistro. They were not ready on time and we had to help arrange tables, there weren't enough table cloths, and there was no cake or gift table set up even though they were requested. The biggie was that we paid for 30 guests but were told they set up for 25. They were short-staffed and didn't seem equipped to handle the event even after we spent time planning with the catering staff.
No one followed up.
I still gave it high marks because the overall experience was memorable and the food was enjoyed by all. The hotel staff at the front desk was extremely helpful and handled any request we made like pros! They deserve 5 stars!response / report this review -

Great location, reasonable price. You can walk to downtown Winston easily from this hotel. The breakfast and lunch buffets were good. The staff was incredibly kind and helpful! Rooms are a little older, but clean. Would stay again.

Right off the Hwy. Easy to find. Nice enough room. Very good buffet breakfast. Had a couple issues but they helped with them quickly and efficiently. Simple checkout in. Easy parking. Would like covered and easier access to the back entrance though. Has the fastest elevator at any hotel I've ever been in. Beautiful pool.

The staff seemed very friendly. It was very pretty inside and there is a place to eat as soon as you walk in the food was actually pretty good. Easy access to the elevators and down stairs. Also easy to access right at front door handicap parking!!! Great place!!

Nice hotel- location is close to the freeway. Beds were comfortable, rooms were clean and spacious. Staff was friendly and helpful. They also offer a shuttle service and a workout room if you desire to do so. Parking lot area in the back is well lit- and there is night time security. I enjoyed the stay for a night and will stay here again when I'm in town.
