Recently renovated. Walking distance to the falls. Clean hotel. Awesome friendly staff. Loved the stay.
Our recent stay was for pleasure and this establishment did not disappoint mainly due to the spacious bathroom whirlpool tub/walk-in shower. Evening wine tasting was enjoyable as well, but the stairs up the last floor might be prohibited for some but the view of Niagara from the enclosed rooftop is well worth the effort. The breakfast which was included was good but a little slow and somewhat hectic at times especially when asking for the waffles which are made to order but required a wait at times up too 15mins. The staff overall where helpful as to directions of surrounding venues and with recommendations that were within walking distance of this very close to the falls hotel only about 3 blocks away. The Hotel is dated in some aspects but this seemed to add to the overall enjoyment of being at a place that was well established and had character.
It was incredible!!! The breakfast every morning was superb and then we absolutely adored the cookies and milk at night it was such a sweet addition to our honeymoon!! The staff was really great. They all remembered that we were there for our honeymoon and asked us what we had been up to each day. They also had great suggestions on what to see and where to eat. If we get the chance to go back to Niagara we will most definitely choose The Giacomo for our hotel!!
A beautiful hotel at a wonderful price. Though it doesn't offer a direct view of the falls, the Canadian skyline is in full view and stunningly beautiful. The rooms are amazing, and easily one of the best values in the Falls area. Service and attention to detail will make you feel like you're staying at a place 3x as expensive. This is THE place to stay if you want to be on the American side.
This was, by far, the best experience I have ever had in a hotel to date!
My wife and I recently stayed at the Giacomo for our honeymoon, and we were both absolutely floored by the experience. We selected the Giacomo due to its unique art deco decor, and proximity to most of the major attractions in/around Niagara Falls. Yet when we arrived, we were stunned to find out that they had upgraded our humble reservation to what can only be described as a luxury/penthouse suite/apartment on an upper floor, with gorgeous views of the Falls, full kitchen, living room, 2 bedrooms with 1 king and 2 full size beds, spacious master bathroom, and a washroom complete with washer/dryer! The service was also incredible, which included milk and cookies delivered to our door while watching the Niagara Falls fireworks, in addition to a very tasty complimentary breakfast every morning.
Although I'm sure that they cannot provide this type of upgrade to every guest or for every occasion, I have no doubt that we would have had an equally fantastic time there, even in a smaller room. Suffice it to say, when we return to Niagara, we will be staying at the Giacomo! They have earned lifetime customers with me and my wife :)
Had the most amazing experience ever! This hotel is at a walking distance from the Falls / Visitor Center. The rooms exceed all expectations. Extremely spacious, and the bathroom is as big as a bedroom in some hotels. Everything feels luxurious. The staff is friendly and very helpful and will make sure your stay is amazing. Do not hesitate to talk to them about anything you need. There is free valet service provided for parking. You park your car on the left side of the hotel in the reserved spots, then go inside the hotel and check in, and give your keys to them, and they will park your car for you for free. Anytime you need your car you tell the front desk and it'll be there for you in 5 minutes. There is also free European style breakfast from 7:30 am to 9:30 am, with a plethora of options and a chef to prepare some fresh breakfast for you. There is also a freely accessible lounge on the 19th floor with 360 degree view of the city, and is open 24/7. I think I will always choose The Giacomo every time I visit Niagara.
Probably the nicest hotel on the US side, great location. AC is kind of noisy, but it is an old building, recently renovated. Bar area is nice, but no dedicated bar staff early in the week (just ask at the front desk). Good views from the "sky lounge" but not much else up there. Friendly service.
This is a beautiful old building, transformed into resident living and partial hotel.
The service was 5 star very friendly. The rooms are beautiful. We had 3 different rooms..
Unfortunately, needs some common sense maintance/cleaners in there. Cob webs everywhere, sink drains clog/ very slow. Jacuzzi heads not working. Bummer.
Clean rooms. Good service with free valet parking. Breakfast was good! Also has amazing view from lounge on the top floor.
Excellent location, very close to Niagara Falls State Park It was about a 5 minute walk. The room was very nice, beautifully decorated. However, the TV was standard definition. They were very accommodating, and offer a nice breakfast. I would definitely go back & recommend to my friends! Oh, and the view from their Sky Lounge in the 18th floor is quite nice! Every guest of the hotel has 24 hour access.
My Husband and I spent our honeymoon here. We had the most amazing week. The rooms are beautiful and the staff are all awesome! We were treated like royalty! We can't wait to go back!
Loved this hotel and the staff. Hot war cookies brought to your room before bed? Check. Nice quiet little bar to hang out with your significant other having a drink? Check. Awesome rooms? BIG CHECK!! Affordable? Check.
This was an incredible Hotel to stay at for my wife and I to get away. We left the 2 kids with the grandparents and rented a King bedroom with fireplace. Just a heads up a fireplace in a building like that is more likely than not an "electric fireplace" so drunk people cavorting around the room like wild sea otters don't set the place on fire
This is a gorgeous hotel which has been restored with attention paid to maintaining its art-deco charm. Our room was clean, beautiful, and reasonably priced given the holiday weekend. The complimentary valet parking is fantastic. It has a bar, but no restaurant. While having an in-house evening dining option would be nice, there are plenty of restaurants within a few minutes' walk. The breakfast was very good.
