The Rural Women's Assembly was held at the Desmond Hotel December 8, 9 and 10th. The hotel is warm, cozy, whimsical and child friendly. The staff were all attentive, accommodating and professional. The food was much better than usual hotel foods. The pub (for those that attend pubs) was upbeat, happy and the live music was really very good. Yes I would return when on a personal visit to Albany.

Always beautifully decorated for the holidays! Very comfortable and spacious rooms. Ask for an inside balcony to enjoy the views of the atrium! Easy off and on the highway. The banquet service is great! Cocktail hour and dinner were delicious at the work holiday party we attended! Koodos to the chef!! Great restaurant and separate bar on location! Delicious breakfast!

The hotel is set in Victorian style. The staff was welcoming and very helpful. I really liked the room but I do wish some things (carpets, bathroom) were updated. Overall I would return here.

This is one of the most amazing, beautiful and well designed hotel and conference center I have ever been to. I truly enjoyed my stay and the ambience it offered. I stayed during the winter and while cold and freezing outside it was pleasant inside. Various events were happening and the decorations and choices of catering and setup styles were very romantic, official, classic, business focused and mixed. I will be visiting again for sure. Gorgeous hotel. Everything is so clean and everyone is amazingly nice. I fell in love with the hotel. They usually have several events going on at any one time but there are display boards around that clearly states which rooms and timings so you are never lost. The interior of the hotel takes you back and everything is just so adorable. The only thing is that water from the coolers tasted a little metallic but you can easily buy your own water from the gift shop or vending machines. It is also close to wolf road where the restaurants and malls are. Cant wait to go back again!

The room was very nice, and comfortable. We stayed overnight because we attended a wedding. Our meals were delicious, and the hotel was the perfect venue for a wedding- the event took place in an enclosed courtyard. Very lovely. Staff is friendly. Negative- some of the hallways smelled like smoke.

Stayed in the Mansion rooms and truly love the decor. The decor is elegant charm with a king four poster bed. The food is good and the prices are reasonable. The location is easily accessible to thw highway.

Charm of colonial Williamsburg. This is a very unique hotel, it always had excellent service and clean rooms. I have never had a bad deal at the bar they have excellent wings, and being from buffalo I know wings.

Went to the Desmond for a work training. The room that we were in was comfortable, clean, and the perfect temperature. The presentation equipment was great and there were no audio issues. Would definitely recommend this as a place to hold a conference.

Had a great lunch today. I was dropping my friend off at the airport and suggested we stop at The Desmond. It was wonderful. The waiter was adorable, attentive & and professional. I have been at the Desmond numerous times for different reasons and they never disappoint!

The layout of the hotel is incredible with views of courtyard. Conference room was elegant and spacious for 100 individuals or more. Food was absolutely incredible.

The location of this hotel is very convenient, right off of I-87 and near the airport. Getting out of the hotel parking lot can be tough due to high traffic. Food was very good. Courtyards are nice. Some room furnishings are dated.

The hotel has the appearance of a old town inside, with a sky and all. This was my forth time being to the Desmond for an event, and it was a delight experience. The layout of the hotel gives vendors and and event planners a unique opportunity to provide different experiences on the different "streets". Love this place!

The staff are extremely friendly. The rooms are pretty standard but nice. The courtyard is super cool and is a nice place to read in the morning. I didn't visit the tavern but people seemed to be enjoying themselves without being rowdy. Would definitely stay here in the future.

Great location and friendly staff. Lovely hotel and love the set up. Once I park my car, I can relax and rest. I like the different restaurants there, where I have a choice. I always love coming there when we travel!!
