Our room was comfy and spacious, staff was nice and the jacuzzi was awesome. My only complaint is that the breakfast isn't that great as far as hot options go. However, we went off season so we enjoyed our cereal and muffins peacefully by ourselves, near the windows that faced the lake :)

The pictures posted on the internet were misleading for this resort. The room did not have modern decor, the paint was peeling from the wall in the bathroom and the staff was not accommodating. The lake view from the room was beautiful, however my friends and I had to leave the property to relax. We had to walk nearly a mile to enjoy a cigar on the beach because smoking was not permitted outside of the property. This concern did not allow us the opportunity to enjoy our room balcony.
Our huge concern was if we smoked outside and it remained on our clothing we would be charged an extra $200. As a result, we had to stay outside at least an hour after hanging out to ensure we would not accrue any accessorial charges. This became an inconvenience by which I would not recommend this resort to others.response / report this review -

Love the place. Front desk is really nice. They gave that's a great recommendation of where to have dinner at the Red Ginger. It was fantastic. The rooms are clean and right on the water. Quick drive to downtown. Love it

Very nice people at the desk. Beautiful view from our room was gorgeous and it was nice to have the gas grills available to use. Had a wonderful experience. The owner was kind and always inquired on how our mother was doing in the hospital

If the price were cheaper, this hotel would get a 4 star review. But there were too many shortcomings for the price. Room was not wired well, outlet cover broken, coffee maker not plugged in nor near an outlet, fridge didn't quite fit in the cabinet under the TV. The continental breakfast is on the low end of quality. But the beach and walkout backdoor (if you're on the 1st floor) are very convenient, private, and beautiful. That may be a selling point for some if you'll be using the beach for volleyball, lounging, swimming, etc. There's a water sports rental place right next door as well. Overall a decent place.

What a wonderful place! It was very clean, and had a homey feeling. The beach was awesome with lots of room. It is close to lots of great places to eat and other entertainment. Every room opens to the lake, and is a small enough place to feel comfortable letting my kids just play.

WIFI IS AWFUL.HALLWAYS ARE LOUD. the doors are so drafty that you hear everyone and everything walking around outside. i brought my laptop to do homework and i couldn't even load a google search pagethere's some tasteful decor in the room and the beds are good but i feel like that's to hide the poor quality of the craftsmanship. don't think i'll stay again.

The rooms were clean and nice had good amenities and the continental breakfast had pretty good selection. The view of the lake was amazing, but careful where you step the lawn has a lot of bird droppings on your way down to the shore. The bathrooms were also nice, though the water pressure wasn't the greatest. Price was good, mid range for the area. Location was great, about 5 miles from the main town shopping area. Getting in and out of the parking lot could be a hassle depending on traffic. Overall we enjoyed our stay.

My husband and I stayed here last year for our engagement trip. We were meeting our engagement photographer in Traverse City for a pretty fall photo shoot. I LOVED this resort. It was a little older, but the staff were all so kind and warm and the view was absolutely wonderful. It was so relaxing and totally worth every penny- but it was a great deal! We would definitely stay here again the next time we are in Traverse City.

Sadly we leave the Beach Haus after 12yrs for the last time. We loved this place but things have changed since new management has taken over. Prices have been raised every year by $100 at least. The management is not friendly or welcoming. We use to know all the workers but they have let the good ones go. We have a large family and enjoyed our time together which must threaten them.
Beautiful beach and view. Great place to stay if you're a couple or just a quiet family who stays to themselvesresponse / report this review
