Parking is a little rough, but there are two dedicated lots - just not adjacent to the building. Room was vintage in a very nice way. Desk clerks were very attentive. Quick response to requests.

Perfect hotel is you're visiting Old Town Fort Collins. Right in the middle of everything including shopping, restaurants, and bars. Very old hotel that was updated nicely. Some rooms are very small so make sure you know which room to book. If you can't stand exterior noise and thin walls, might want to look to stay elsewhere. Very nice and helpful staff!

Stayed here for two nights for my wedding. The place is drop-dead vintage, yet clean and amazing. The shower had two spout heads which completes my life in every way. The bed was comfortable, TV and wi-fi both easy to use, and the view down onto College Ave in Old Town was electrifying. A desk for writing and a bathtub separate from the shower. What more could one ask for? I did stub my toe twice against the bed frame which is shaped like Santa's slay. Also, there is an awesome hotel cat that can be found lounging around - perfect for that extra fall charm!

Great location in old town. Great staff. Rooms are smaller than you may be used to, only one place to sit in ours (other than the bed). Could use more (or more easily accessible outlets to recharge our devices. Reasonably quiet for downtown FC.

Hotel is in great location- with coffee shops, restaurants, and parks walking distance from hotel. Staff friendly and helpful. Decent size room. Shower had a different set up- 2 showerheads. Also, if you want personal toiletries you need to ask- room has soap, lotion, and shampoo dispensers. Bed is comfortable. Room had little kitchen set up with sink, microwave, and fridge. I would definitely stay again.

Great location downtown. Free bikes that we could take for the day. Very friendly staff and clean, beautiful rooms. Only drawback would be the spotty wifi. Overall, would recommend highly.

Excellent service. Several exits/entrances to parking so no 15 minute walks just to get to the lot. Bed was nice but the water pressure sucked.

Great historical feel and close access to everything.
They have a cool cat name Oreo who will venture into your room seeking milk(creamer cups) but will fool you thinking that she is there to visit you.
They have a cool Jazz bar downstairs, a great coffee shop attached and an amazing sandwich shop(ChoiceCity) all which are accessible without leaving the building.response / report this review -

Good location, across the street from the beach. They offer chairs, umbrellas, and towels. The rooms are recently upgraded and very nice with a full kitchen. Staff are friendly and clean up quickly. Bathroom is small but very nicely finished. Downside is the construction across on the north side of a 12 story plus condominium as of January 2017.

It is seldom the case in the US that you look forward to visiting a downtown of a small city off the main highway. There are some wonderful exceptions, and one of them is Fort Collins, Colorado. The old business district is alive and well with a wise assortment of truly interesting businesses. To best enjoy what it was that made these small urban hubs so delightful in the past, it is fortunate that a group of bright young people have recreated the Armstrong Hotel right on the main drag, University Avenue. It is old, well lived in and shows some enchanting memories of its rooming-house past. The rooms are clean, well appointed and the beds comfy. The Armstrong has its coffee shop, and what I imagine one might liken to a "Speak-Easy" dining bistro in the basement. We enjoy the wonderful choice of restaurants on University Avenue and they are all "just in the neighborhood", within a very short walk, even in the snow. Why stay out on the highway, when your evening, or stay, can be a stimulating adventure in an example of well done urban renewal. Oreo the famous resident cat keeps guard over the entrance and expects compliments and a friendly chat with guests.

Comfortable double-room queen. Interior room meant no view - but very quiet. Comfortable bed, clean bathroom, best location. Friendly front desk staff. Jazz in basement bar on Saturday night. Convenient parking.
